Mr. Jia Shuangyou and his wife have been arrested and detained several times since the persecution of Falun Gong started in 1999. Their daughter passed away in terror. On January 16, 2009, the couple was abducted again by the police.
Falun Gong practitioners Ms. Jiang Xiaoying and Ms. Wang Ying have been detained and treated as mental patients by the CCP agents in Jiujiang City for long periods. Both of them have been forced to divorce their spouses.
Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Litian was sentenced to a five year prison term. On November 17, 2008, Mr. Zhang died after being brutally beaten by jail guards. The appellate office rejected his family's request for an autopsy.
Because Ms. Liu Fanqin exposed the fact that Ms. Wei Xingyan was raped by a policeman, CCP's judiciary system sentenced her nine years in prison. She is currently still being persecuted in jail.
Mr Jiang Xiqing dies one day after appearing healthy at a family visit. Photos were not allowed of his body after death.
Mr. Du Ting once held a hunger strike for more than 400 days to protest the persecution. He has suffered a mental collapse due to the abuse by guards and inmates around the clock.
The police in Dalian City abducted three Falun Gong practitioners for no valid reason. Without notification to their families, the police sentenced them to one year of forced labor.
Mr. Luo Chaoming was secretly sentenced to four years in prison for possession of Falun Gong materials. He is in critical condition.
