After she had been on hunger strike for a month, the detention center director force-fed her a mixture of dog feces and water by forcefully inserting a tube into her esophagus.
A family is arrested for having a printer to print Falun Gong materials and is still detained, despite the failure to discover such a printer.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Lu Mei was a former employee at the salt station of the grain department in Suileng County, Heilongjiang Province. On May 18, 2008, Ms. Lu was arrested by Linyuan Police Station of Suileng Forestry Bureau while she was putting up posters that clarify the facts about Falun Gong. She was detained for one night at Linyuan Police Station and was sent to the Detention Center of Suileng Forestry Bureau at around 6 p.m. the next day. It was there that she was handcuffed, beaten, and tortured to extract a "confession," so that the police could incriminate her on false charges.
When Ms. Lu arrived at the detention center, officer Gao Kejun slapped her to warn her not to talk about Falun Gong to anyone. Zhang Weizhe, the chief of Linyuan Police Station, instructed officers Lu Yingbin and Zhang Jianguo to handcuff and interrogate her. They forced her to answer where the Falun Gong materials came from and who the other practitioners involved were.
After two weeks, Ms. Lu began a hunger strike to protest her incarceration. The next day, Cai Yongshan, the director of the detention center, brutally beat her with a hard plastic tube while shouting at her, "You have to eat, and if you don't, I will force-feed you dog shit."
On the third day, Zhang Weizhe, Lu Yingbin, and Zhang Jianbo interrogated Ms. Lu again. They closed the windows and door and hung up Ms. Lu, with only her toes touching the ground. They kept her hung up like this for 24 hours.
After Ms. Lu had been on hunger strike for a month, Gao Kejun began to torture her even further. He held down Ms. Lu's body while Cao Yongshan force-fed her a mixture of dog feces and water by forcefully inserting a tube into her esophagus. They shouted at Ms. Lu, asking if she wanted to eat dinner. When Ms. Lu refused to answer, Cao Yongshan kicked her hard while verbally abusing her. When Ms. Lu continued the hunger strike the next day, Cao Yongshan threatened to force-feed her again.
The next morning, Ms. Lu Mei and other Falun Gong
practitioners were sent to the Drug Rehabilitation Center in Harbin City,
where psychiatric torture is used against Falun Gong practitioners.
This type of torture routinely includes the administering of chemical
substances that cause damage to the central nervous system. However,
they refused to admit Ms. Lu after examining her in the hospital. The
police had to take her back to Suileng Detention Center. Cao
Yongshan tried to force Ms. Lu to eat, but she continued her hunger
strike. The next morning, Cao Yongshan threatened her with an
intravenous injection. Ms. Lu did not yield to his threats, and she was
picked up by her family that afternoon.
Family of Falun Gong Practitioners from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province Arrested
On February 17, 2010, Wang Yonggang, chief of Jiaxi Police Station in Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province traveled with over ten policemen in two vans to the home of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Shi Hongwei in Qianjin Village, Changqing Township. The police pounded on the door, attempting entry.
Mr. Shi Hongwei, his wife, and his daughter were all asleep at the time, while Mr. Shi Fengling, the elderly father of Mr. Shi Hongwei, was starting up a fire for the stove. He realized that the loud noise at the door was from the police, and decided not to open the door for them. The officers climbed over the outside fence and broke into their yard. As soon as they entered the home, they beat the elderly man and then asked him whether his family practiced Falun Gong. The police claimed that they received a report that his family owned a computer and printer used to print Falun Gong materials.
Several of the policemen ransacked one end of Mr. Shi's house, but didn't find what they were looking for. At the same time at the other end, other policemen pounded on the door. When Mr. Shi Hongwei opened the door, Wang Yonggang and his subordinates rushed in, ransacked the house, and beat Mr. Shi.
The policemen also tried to force Mr. Shi Hongwei's family to curse at the founder of Falun Gong. When they refused, the police swore at Mr. Shi, beat him, and put him in the police vehicle. Afterwards they arrested Mr. Shi Fengling and Ms. Wu Tiange, Mr. Shi Hongwei's wife. The ten-year-old daughter was left behind in their home.
The three practitioners were taken to Jiaxi Police Station and then interrogated separately, the whole process lasting one day and night. At approximately 10 p.m. on February 18, they were illegally detained at Jiaxi Detention Center. After six days of detention, only Mr. Shi Fengling was released.
Currently, Mr. Shi and Ms. Wu are being held at Jiamusi City Detention Center. When family members went to the authorities to request their release, the police claimed that there were too many Falun Gong materials found in their home, and fabricated a story that they had a printer in their home as well.
