Three persons from same village were arrested at their homes before the Christmas 2009. After being detained for five months, they were given three, four and five years prison term, respectively.
Mr. Jin Guoyou and Ms. Feng Hezhi in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province Imprisoned
Falun Gong practitioners Jin Guoyou, Feng Hezhi and Xing Qingyun in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province were sentenced illegally to lengthy prison terms.
Mr. Jin Guoyou is more than 60 years old, a retiree from Jin'an Chemical Plant. He lived in Jin'an Village 3, which was under jurisdiction of Dunhuafang Police Station in Xinghualing District, Taiyuan City. At 9 pm on December 22, 2009, he was arrested at home by five policemen from the station, then his home was ransacked. The policemen took away his computer, printer and CD writer. Later on, Mr. Jin Guoyou was detained at Xinghualing Detention Center. In May 2010 he was illegally sentenced to four years' imprisonment.
Ms. Feng Hezhi is 70 years old, and she is a family member of a retiree from Jin'an Chemical Plant. She also lived in Jin'an Village 3. On the afternoon of December 21, 2009 she was illegally arrested by Dunhuafang Police Station when she was clarifying the truth. Her home was also ransacked and the police took away Falun Gong books and truth-clarification materials. On May 23, Ms. Feng Hezhi was detained at a detention center and later on, she was illegally sentenced to three years of imprisonment.
Mr. Xing Qingyun, over 60 years old, also a retiree from Jin'an Chemical Plant, lived in Jin'an Village 3. At 10 a.m. on December 23, 2009, she was arrested at home by Policewoman Zhao Junli and two policemen from Dunhuafang Police Station, then her home was ransacked. They took away Falun Gong books and truth-clarification materials. On the afternoon of December 24, the police sent her to the detention center, but she was rejected because of her health condition. In May of 2010, she was illegally sentenced to five years of imprisonment. Due to her high blood pressure, she was placed at home under police surveillance.
