After witnessing and experiencing over one year of perilous tests, now I truly and sincerely realize how important it is for every genuine disciple to establish rock-solid righteous thoughts and maintain unshakable confidence in Dafa. This trial is a touchstone to test genuine or phony cultivation practice. Just as Teacher's writes, "Even demons fear to see disciples' rock-solid hearts."
During this past year, there has been a trial of strength between the good and evil in this universe. What it reflects in our human dimension is that the wicked people led by Jiang Zemin resorted to all evil means to calumniate, slander, and persecute Dafa, the Teacher and Dafa practitioners. "Grand talk counts for naught when it comes to life and death." In front of the evil, every disciple faces the test of life and death, and every test associates with the fundamental issue of believing Fa or not. Most genuine practitioners who stick to Dafa and the Teacher depend on their strong will and belief to put down life and death, rise above their human side by being willing to give up everything in the human world and establish the mighty virtue of Dafa with their lives. However, when facing evil tests, some practitioners became confused and shocked or attached to human notions and sentimentality hindered by fear and are not willing to step forward. They are influenced by their attachments and then led by the demon side of their thoughts and, as a result, generate various hesitations: "How come cultivation turns out to be like this?" "Are we fighting with the government and humanity." Eventually this may lead to more "enlightenment" along an evil path and will shake their confidence completely, causing them to even doubt the Teacher and Dafa. We must be aware that embracing attachments or even having a tiny unrighteous thought is as good as putting our lives in a very dangerous situation.
There is a story when Jesus spread Fa. Jesus and his disciples took a boat together. Jesus fell asleep, but the boat suddenly met terrifying waves. Signs of danger appeared everywhere. Disciples were frightened out of their wits and awakened Jesus immediately. After Jesus awoke, his eyes scanned the waves, the wind subsided, and the waves calmed down. Then he turned to his disciples and asked, "Where is your confidence?" How similar this scene is to what we are facing. In order to test students, the Teacher did not say anything during this one year. In the face of strong wind and terrifying waves, some practitioners are able to distinguish the direction and follow the Teacher, but some look back and forth or are frightened. In front of the test, everyone's Xinxing is exposed completely. Even though some practitioners roughly did some things for rectifying Fa, they repeatedly speak in their heart, "Teacher! Please rectify Fa soon!" If we look hard, isn't the heart shaken? Doesn't all the fear and worry come from the hesitation in the bottom of heart, "Can this Fa be rectified or not? The evil is so vicious, can we defeat it?" Actually, we should ask ourselves at this time, "Where is your confidence? Are your beliefs pure?"
Solid righteous minds could pierce holes in stone and move mountains. If all the practitioners had believed in Dafa sincerely, the evil's attack would have been like throwing an egg against a rock. We must know who can harm the Law of the universe. If you really assimilate to Dafa, then who is able to stop your life from ascending? Didn't the Teacher say, "If anyone can harm you, he or she would be able to harm me. Put simply, that person would be able to harm this universe."
Some practitioners remained healthy after going on hunger strikes for over 100 days, and some safely jumped out from building several floors high. All of these examples are the best evidence. Nothing happens accidentally in this universe. With the Teacher and Dafa, what is there to be afraid of when facing heinous evil? Actually, everything can be changed by a Buddha. But Teacher did not do so, because this is our cultivation environment. If it finished so early, what would we cultivate? We would have no time to regret our errors. Moreover, I personally think this is to eliminate karma. Even though Teacher removed most of the karma from the root, it is impossible that we endure nothing, because our Xinxing needs to be improved. Similarly, even though the evil had been eliminated from the root, isn't the leftover superficial tiny part to be used for our cultivation?
If we think the tribulations and the evil small, we ourselves will become large. If we really dissolve into the Dafa and become a particle of the Dafa, we could overrun all blockades. On the contrary, if we humanly impede ourselves with all kinds of human attachments and restrain our divine side, then the demons will get a chance to step in and enlarge the tribulation, and we eventually will regret it forever. Therefore, in front of the evil, how our hearts move is crucial. We must thoroughly eliminate our demon nature and suffocate the evil during the course of rectifying Fa. Only by doing so can we have a clean conscience to face this greatest history.
