1. [Manchuria, Inner Mongolian] Dafa Practitioner Dai Guochen and His Wife Are Arrested At Their Son's Birthday Party
At 6:00 p.m. on November 6, 2002, while Dai Guochen and his wife were celebrating their son's birthday at a restaurant in the Hezuo District, they were arrested by the police. Their home was searched, and all their personal belongings, which are valued at more than 20,000 Yuan,* were seized. They are being held in detention to this day. Despite the fact that they both have been tortured and have become very emaciated, the police still refuse to release them.
Manchuria Detention Center police officer Li Shihe has obeyed the Jiang regime's orders to relentlessly persecute Dafa practitioners, and he has concealed the death of female Dafa practitioner Ms. Meng Guiying. Li Shihe has recently developed severe uremia.

5. [China] Chinese Police Implement a New Way to Illegally Monitor the People
According to reliable sources, the police in China are widely using a new kind of monitoring instrument which allows them to randomly listen-in on any mobile phone or fixed phone line conversation. During the monitoring, it can show the telephone numbers of the caller and the receiver, and the physical distance between the two phones. It also reveals the short messages that are sent out through pagers. Fixed telephone lines also emit radiation, and should therefore be used with caution.
