Ms. Xu Hui was illegally arrested on July 20, 2007, after displaying a banner in support of Falun Gong in Tiananmen Square. She is imprisoned in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Her son, Cai Chao, was also arrested. Ms. Xu's husband has gone to Beijing three times and Masanjia twice, but he has not been able to meet her.

Dec. 18

When Ms. Wang Yanjun's fellow Falun Gong practitioners visited her at home, the police illegally arrested them. Ms. Wang Yanjun was tortured by the police. She started a hunger strike on December 1 to protest the persecution.

Dec. 19

Ms. Zhang Yulan was arrested by local police on November 28, 2007, in Jiangyuan District, Baishan City, Jilin Province. Eight or nine police officers came to Ms. Zhang's home, where they arrested her, ransacked her home, and confiscated her bank deposit book with her living allowance provided to her by her children. No one knows where Ms. Zhang has been taken.

The authorities give conflicting reasons for Mr. Xiong's death, them demand an immediate cremation.

Ms. Fan Juncao, 65, has been extensively tortured for refusing to give up the practice of Falun Gong.
