Investigation Leads: Deceased Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Peng Min Had Large Hole in His Lower Back, and Other Leads

February 26, 2007 |

(Clearwisdom.net) After the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) atrocities of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners was exposed, the Falun Dafa Association and the Minghui/Clearwisdom website launched the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong" (CIPFG) on April 4, 2006, and started to collect evidence on a large scale. Below is some recently received evidence from 2001. We hope that people who know the truth will continue to help us to expose the persecution of Falun Gong in labor camps, prisons, and hospitals throughout China, so that these atrocities can be stopped.

The Large Hole in Peng Min’s Lower Back

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Peng Min from Wuhan City died from persecution in 2001. He was first tortured at the Qingling Detention Center in Wuchang City, which resulted in a compression fracture of a vertebra and total paralysis. He was later held in a hospital and his mother, Li Yingxiu, took care of him. All of his family members are Falun Gong practitioners who were illegally detained at the time, except Li Yingxiu. For a short period, Peng Min was taken home and his condition improved. He could eat, drink, and talk.

Three people—C, L and M—went to the hospital in March 2001 to visit Mr. Peng. They were not allowed to enter the room, guarded by plainclothes police around the clock. L stayed on the ground floor, C took a peek into the room—Li Yingxiu was helping Peng Min to turn over in bed. He couldn’t see very well, but he thought Peng Min had a large hole in his lower back area. M had connections at the hospital and he was able to get inside the room. When he came out, he said, "How come Peng Min has a large hole in his lower back?"

Li Yingxiu came out and told the three visitors, "The officials forcibly brought Peng Min back to the hospital from home. He was rushed into the operating room immediately after returning to the hospital, and a large hole appeared on his lower back area when he came out of surgery. They do not really treat him here; they are only torturing him and trying to kill him."

Peng Min died from gross abuse at 6:00 p.m. on April 6, 2001. His body and his family members were quickly transferred after his death and disappeared. His body was secretly cremated against the family's wishes at 10:00 a.m. the day after his death. Peng Min’s father, Peng Weisheng, was briefly let out of the Hewan Forced Labor Camp where he was held at the time so he could see his son’s body one last time and was taken back to the labor camp right away. Peng Min’s sister, Peng Yan, is in prison and knows nothing about her brother’s death. After Peng Min’s body was cremated, his brother, Peng Liang, and mother were sent to the Hongxia Brainwashing Center in Qingling, the Wuchang District. His mother, Ms. Li Yingxiu, died suddenly soon after. Few people knew about the large hole in Peng Min’s lower back.

I remembered this when the harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners was exposed in 2006. Why was there a hole in Peng Min’s lower back? It was unnecessary from a medical standpoint. Is it possible that Mr. Peng’s kidneys were removed? He was totally paralyzed at the time and he would not have felt anything if his kidneys were removed. His mother didn’t have any medical knowledge herself to be aware of anything unusual, and it is difficult for anyone to imagine that the Communist Party would take organs from living people.

We hope that anyone who knows the truth can provide us with information through a safe channel. Doing so would be an act of conscience and also choosing a bright future for yourself.

The persecution of Peng Min and his family has been reported many times on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website, such as "Wuhan Practitioner Peng Min Paralyzed Due to Police Torture: CCTV Conspires to Create a Story" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/3/24/5605.html) and "Mourn Peng Min" (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2001/4/19/6845.html).

Also, practitioner Zhou Jiangang is currently being held in Qinduankou Prison. We are highly concerned about his safety. Any persecution of Zhou Jiangang and any other practitioners would bring disaster to the persecutors themselves.

Shang Quanyan, Where Are You?

I was held at the No. 1 Wuhan City Women's Detention Center in August 2001. The detention center officials ran blood tests on young people—on Falun Gong practitioners and some others, including myself. They took practitioner Ms. Shang Quanyan away after testing her. I have never heard from her since.

Shang Quanyan came from Huangshi. She was then around 30 years old. She was an orphan, divorced and childless. I didn’t see any family member visit her. I hope people can provide information on her whereabouts. Ms. Shang Quanyan, if you come across this article, please respond!

Exposing the "Blood Tests and Physical Exams" in the Forced Labor Camp

I was detained for more than a year between 2005 and 2006. After I got out I learned that the Chinese Communist Party had been committing gruesome crimes of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and selling them for profit. The Party is challenging the bottom line of everyone’s conscience. It is no coincidence that this crime is being exposed now. Everyone must make a choice on the issue of the Communist specter—either one's conscience, or evil.

I recall that during my stay at Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in the Beijing Labor Reeducation Dispatch Division, we were given three physical exams, including a blood draw at each examination. Now that I think about it, I am convinced that there was a dark scheme behind these physical exams. Only a small number of privileged workplaces in Chinese society receive this type of treatment. We practitioners were deprived of our freedom and incarcerated in torture chambers. It is illogical to assume that the authorities would care for the very people they were seeking to destroy.

These unusual tests conceal a shocking secret. I want to expose this story to serve as a reference.

Up until 2003, the Kidney Transplant Center at Huaxi Hospital, which is affiliated with Sichuan University, had performed 1,201 transplants. Currently, the center performs between 80 and 100 kidney transplants annually.

The Urology Surgery Department at Huaxi Hospital is located on the fourth floor of the Inpatient Surgery Division building.

Medical experts who work in the Outpatient Department are Wei Qiang (morning shifts on Wednesdays and Saturdays); Fan Tianyong (afternoon shift on Thursdays); Shi Ming (afternoon shift on Tuesdays and morning shift on Wednesdays).

Many Organ Transplants Carried Out at Taian City Central Hospital in Shandong Province between 2005 and 2006

Taian City Central Hospital in Shandong Province performed numerous organ transplants between 2005 and 2006. According to a reliable source, two patients, retired teachers from Taishan Middle School, received kidney transplants at the hospital in late 2006. They are retired teacher Ms. Cai Meili and a man in his 30s, who died after the surgery. The details require further investigation.

It is also said that Guo Kai, the son of Fang who works at the Taishan Institute, underwent a kidney transplant in April 2006. The surgery cost 30,000 yuan. The hospital claimed the kidney was from a prisoner. In the past, it would cost more than 100,000 yuan for a kidney transplant.

The image below is a document entitled "To-Do List for Kidney Transplant Patients Prior to Surgery" given to Xiang Sunlian, who lives in the Shitang Group, Cunju, Hong Village, Xiazhou Township, Hongjiang City, Hunan Province. He kept the document after receiving a kidney transplant at the Yiyang City Central Hospital in 2005. The hospital told him there was no need to wait because kidneys are readily available.
