(Clearwisdom.net) Before the 2008 Olympics, practitioners detained at the Bejing Women's Forced Labor Camp were transferred elsewhere. Sixty Falun Gong practitioners were transferred to Shanxi Province. Most of them were women in their 60s. At the Shanxi Forced Labor Camp, in order to force practitioners to give up their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the guards instigated other inmates to brutally torture them.
At the time this report was dispatched, the practitioners from Miyun County, Beijing, that were transferred to Shanxi Province were know to be: Zhang Guiying (65), Chen Hongyan, Zhang Lanying, Luo Fengtian, Zhang Junling, and Feng Runqing.
Because the Olympics were going to take place in August, government officials transferred practitioners to different areas. It is said that they were transferred to ten different locations. Sixty practitioners were transferred in two buses to Shanxi Province on July 17, including eight practitioners from Miyun County in Beijing. Late at night on July 16, guards ordered the practitioners one-by-one to go to the guard office to sign a paper and then ordered them to get on the bus. They handcuffed two practitioners together and covered the windows with curtains to prevent them from seeing out.
When they arrived in Shanxi Province, the guards at the Shanxi Forced Labor Camp ordered all the criminal inmates to gather on both sides of the road near the door to "welcome" the practitioners. When the criminal inmates saw these white-haired older women, many of them were moved to tears. They muttered to themselves, "Why did they arrest so many old women and handcuff two of them together. Why is the the regime afraid that these old ladies practicing Falun Gong?"
Later, the guards and collaborators slandered Falun Gong. The guards severely tortured practitioners and used term reductions to incite criminal inmates to torture them. They divided the criminals into groups of three or four and made them pressure the practitioners day and night to write a guarantee statement. The practitioners protested. Some refused to write the statement and explained the facts of the situation to the guards and other inmates. The guards ignored them and took practitioner Ms. Feng Runqing and another one to the "strictly controlled unit." The guards and the designated inmates did not allow practitioners to sleep and closely monitored and followed them. For three months they forced practitioners to get up at 5:00 a.m., and did not let them go to sleep until midnight. It is very hot in July and there are a lot of mosquitoes in Shanxi Province. Under extreme pressure, some practitioners gave up their belief against their will. Three months later the guards took practitioners Ms. Huang Ling, Ms. Hao Jingqiong, and Ms. Guo Xiuyun to the strictly monitored unit. The guards forced these steadfast women to sit on a 20-centimeter-wide bench and did not allow them to move for a long time.
Practitioner Ms. Li Hong from Shanxi Province was sent to the Shanxi Forced Labor Camp in April 2009. Inmates were divided into four groups and took turns torturing her. They did not allow her to sleep for 24 hours and tried to force her to write the guarantee statement. Ms. Li refused to write it, so the guards instigated inmates to beat and insult her every day. Her cries of pains were often heard, and even some of guards were horrified. Someone saw that Ms. Li's hips and thighs were black and blue from the beatings. Even though the guards used all kinds tortures on Ms. Li, she did not give up practicing Falun Gong.
