1. [Yanbian, Jilin Province] Ms. Jin Lianhua Tortured to the Verge of Death

Ms. Jin Lianhua is a Korean minority Falun Gong practitioner who lives in Tumen, Yanbian. She was taken to Helong after being arrested on May 29, 2011. The police tortured her to get a confession. As a result, she is on the verge of death and has been sent to a hospital in Yanji City, Jilin Province for emergency treatment.

Ms. Miao Xihai and Ms. Lin Xiurong from Daoli District, Harbin, were arrested by patrol police from the Fushun Police Station in Daoli, while they were distributing Falun Gong materials on the night of June 9, 2011.

Mr. Zhang Guohua, Mr. Jiang Zhenyou, and Ms. Dou Guilan, from Hongtoushan, Qingyuan, were transferred to Luotaishanzhuang, Fushun, on June 9, 2011, and were persecuted.

Ms. Cui Fengcai from Huaidian Town, Shenqiu County, Zhoukou, was arrested at a commercial plaza by officers from the Shenqiu Domestic Security Team and the Henan Police Department on June 4, 2011. Her home was also ransacked by police.

9. [Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Dong Yanlian, Ms. Gu Shuhua, and Ms. Bao Shuangdi Arrested

Ms. Dong Yanlian, 49, lives in Shiyezhou, Zhenjiang. She was taken away from her home by officers from the Changgang Police Station on the afternoon of May 20, 2011. The police also confiscated her laptop, computer, and other property. Ms. Dong is being detained in the Zhenjiang Detention Center.

Ms. Gu Shuhua, 65, lives in Youxianju, Zhenjiang, and Ms. Bao Shuandi, 60, lives in Wuzhuxiang, Zhenjiang. They were arrested on Zhongshanxi Road on the morning of May 30, 2011. The police then ransacked their homes. The two practitioners are being detained in the Zhenjiang Detention Center.

10. [Tanghai County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Xiuchun Sent to a Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Yang Xiuchun from the Fifth Team of the Ninth Farm in Tanghai, was sent to a forced labor camp in Kaiping, Tangshan on May 27, 2011.

11. [Laigang, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiao Fangyu Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Jiao Fangyu, Ms. Li Zaihua, and Ms. Zhang Xiaorong from Laigang, were arrested on May 16, 2011, while talking to people about Falun Gong in Xujiazhuang, Yiyuan. They were then beaten by police in the Xujiazhuang Police Station. Ms. Jiao Fangyu has been sent to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp for an 18-month term. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Li were released after being extorted out of about 200,000 and 30,000 yuan, respectively.

Practitioners Mr. Zheng Dejun, Mr. Ming Guihuan, and Mr. Zhang Ke, from Yichang, along with Mr. Zhang Tao and Ms. Ye Fangli from Wuhan, Hubei Province, were arrested by police while they were eating in a restaurant on the night of June 2, 2011. Ms. Ye was detained in a detention center for five days and other practitioners were detained for seven days. Ms. Ye Fangli and Mr. Zhang Tao were subsequently transferred to a brainwashing center. Mr. Zhang Ke has been released. Mr. Ming and Mr. Zheng's whereabouts are currently unknown.

Ms. Ye Mingju was arrested at the brainwashing session which was held at the Shenji Hotel in Changde on the morning of May 30, 2011. This occurred when she went to the brainwashing session and talked to people about Falun Gong in order to rescue fellow practitioner Ye Shunqing, who was being detained there. Ms. Ye was also detained in the brainwashing session.

34. [Laixi, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xingmei and Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Wang Xingmei, Ms.Wang Li, and Ms. Zhang Shumei from Wazhuang Village, Rizhuang Town, Laixi were arrested by Sun Yonggui and other officers from the Rizhuang Police Station while they were posting Falun Gong materials on the night of May 11, 2011. The police handcuffed the practitioners' hands, dragged them into a room, grabbed their hair, and slammed their heads against the wall. Ms. Wang Xingmei had a bloody bump on the back of her head as a result of the torture. The practitioners were taken to the Laixi Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Li and Ms. Zhang Shumei were taken to Jinan, Shandong Province, on May 23, 2011. Ms. Wang Xingmei was released on May 27, 2011.
