(Clearwisdom.net) Shen Yun Performing Arts had another successful showing at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, Rhode Island, on January 19-20, 2012. The company's unique blend of Chinese and Western orchestration, classical and ethnic Chinese dance, dazzling backdrops, and award-winning soloists gave the audience an unforgettable experience. For many, it was a treat for the whole family.

Pamela Sardinha went to the show at the suggestion of a customer, and was glad that she did. She found the Friday performance “fascinating” and “beautiful,” reported The Epoch Times.
Her friend April Sjosten, who brought along her daughter, enjoyed the program as well. Ms. Sjosten saw a deeper meaning to the show, with “lots of emphasis on the spirit and higher powers, the beauty of the divine, and things like that.”

Karisa Tashjian and her daughter also took in the show as part of a mother-daughter outing. Ms. Tashjian wanted to “expose my daughter to another culture” and came away impressed herself, reported the paper. She marveled, “Wow, how disciplined and practiced people must be to do what they are doing on the stage.”
Her daughter was equally pleased with the experience. She was especially enchanted by the colorful display in the dance “Lotus Leaves,” finding it “really cool and pretty.”

Jorge and Clara Carvajal were among the captivated audience in Providence on Thursday evening. Mr. Carvajal, who works for Tiffany & Co., particularly enjoyed the cultural aspects of the performance and said that he would “absolutely” recommend the show to his friends, reported The Epoch Times. His wife, who is a private practice researcher, said the show was “very soothing, very calm” and “puts you in a different state of mind.”
Fred Friedman, Kathy Mann, and Ken Resseger, three friends who saw the show together on Thursday, also had glowing praise. Mr. Friedman, a retired psychologist, called the performance “very traditional,” while Ms. Mann, a small business owner, described it as “absolutely beautiful,” according to the paper. Mr. Resseger found the dancing to be “incredible” and was impressed with the show's vivid and animated backdrop, calling it “very well done” and “very clever.”
Shen Yun Performing Arts has three equally large companies that tour the world simultaneously with the mission to revive the 5,000 years of divinely inspired, traditional heritage of China. Shen Yun will be performing in Detroit, Michigan, Atlanta, Georgia, and Phoenix, Arizona, in the week of January 23-29, 2012.
