(Minghui.org) Ms. Ouyang Cuirong and Mr. Fang Xionghua from Hanchuan City, Hubei Province were illegally sentenced to prison terms in May 2012. They are currently being held in Wuhan Women's Prison and Fajiatai Prison, respectively.
Ms. Ouyang Cuirong and Mr. Fang Xionghua were illegally arrested on the afternoon of July 15, 2011 as they distributed informational materials about Falun Gong in Maling Farm, Dongxihu District, Wuhan City. Officers from the Maling Police Station made the arrest. Mr. Fang was able to escape that day, but was later arrested in mid January 2012 by the Dongxihu District police.
Ouyang Cuirong
Ms. Ouyang Cuirong, 45, a self-employed doctor, has been previously arrested and detained many times by 610 Office agents and Domestic Security Division officers. She was once held in Shayang Forced Labor Camp for a year and had several thousand yuan extorted from her. After she was sent to the Wuhuan City No.2 Detention Center following her arrest on July 15, 2011, she held a hunger strike to protest the persecution for a period of time, which caused great damage to her health. Dongxihu District Court handed her a three-year-and-a-half-year prison term in May 2012. She is currently in Wuhan Women's Prison.
Fang Xionghua
Mr. Fang Xionghua, 46, is a high school teacher. He worked diligently and is highly regarded by his students. Dongxihu District Court sentenced him to a three-year prison term in May 2012. He is currently in the Fanjiatai Prison.
