(Minghui.org) Thirteen practitioners from Dalian City were arrested on July 6, 2012. The judicial system controlled by the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) Political and Legal Committee and 610 Office has recently approved their arrests.
The 13 practitioners include: Ma Ruitian, Chen Zhongshan, Pan Xiuqing, Wang Shouchen, Wang Jian, She Yue, Hao Yueshan, Wang Yu (Wang Defa), Liu Qingtao, Zhu Chengqian, Yan Jinhua, Li Shengjie.
Ten practitioners' families hired lawyers from Beijing to uphold justice for the practitioners. The lawyers have obtained related legal documents and were able to meet with their clients at Yaojia Detention Center. The lawyers learned about the persecution of practitioners who were arrested on July 6, 2012.
Below is partial account of the persecution these practitioners were subjected to:
Officers from the Dalian City 610 Office, Political and Legal Committee, and Police Department colluded with the local police and neighborhood committees to carry out a large scale arrest on July 6, 2012. They targeted practitioners participating in installing NTD television receivers. Nearly 100 practitioners were arrested and detained, and their homes were ransacked. They were subjected to brutal physical abuse and torture. Among them:
Sixty-nine-year-old Ms. Zhang Guilian from Dalian Development Zone was subjected to severe physical abuse at Yaojia Detention Center. Ms. Zhang was detained for 17 days before she developed symptoms of a stroke. She passed away on August 5, 2012.
Mr. Qu Bin and Mr. Zhang Guoli were tortured to the point of critical condition. Ms. Hou Chunli was held in Dalian Detention Center and cruelly tortured. As a result, her legs were broken and her kidneys injured.
Mr. Che Zhongshan from Dalian City, Liaoning Province, was arrested on July 6, 2012. Mr. Che has been detained at the Yaojia Detention Center for over four months. It was reported that he was handcuffed and shackled to a ground ring for more than two months, and was sometimes tied to a tiger bench all night long. He was brutally persecuted.
It was reported that Mr. Che swallowed a toothbrush to protest his illegal detention and persecution. (Editor’s note: Dafa practitioners should always use peaceful and rational means to protest their persecution; one should not take a radical approach.) As a result, he had blood in his stool for several days and was in serious condition. He was sent to a hospital three times for emergency treatment. While he was being detained and tortured, his wife, Ms. Wang Chun'e, was also arrested and taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for a 2-year term.
In addition, more than 16 practitioners have been subjected to forced labor terms. They are Liu Meifen, Qu Lianxi, Song Ailian, Pei Zhenbo, Sun Yun, Zhang Yulian, Kang Yuying, Lin Weizhu, Wan Xiaohui, Wang Yue'e, Yu Changshun, Zhang Lina, Hao Qiujing, Luo Jinyu, Xiao Chunling, and Liu Jiqing.
