Please also ask your loved ones to do this, so you all will be safe. Will you?” “Why are you so good to me?” “I’m doing this just for your safety.”

The above dialogue took place between Ms. Mao and a spectator after the large-scale parade in Manhattan's Chinatown on May 12, 2012. Ms. Mao is a Falun Gong practitioner from North America. She clarified the facts about Falun Gong to the spectator and talked to her about the importance of quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Since the CCP started persecuting Falun Gong in 1999, Ms. Mao has consistently phoned people in Mainland China to inform them of the facts about Falun Gong. Every day she makes phone calls for several hours and helps people quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. On any given day, she succeeds in helping several, to more than 20 people, quit the CCP. People from all social strata have quit the party, including military officers and government officials.
After 18 Years of Suffering, Stubborn Illnesses Disappeared after Practicing Falun Gong for Two Days
Ms. Mao began practicing Falun Gong in Lanzhou City, China in July 1996. Prior to this, she had suffered from cirrhosis, nephropathy and several other serious illnesses. She said, “I suffered from these illnesses for 18 years and they worsened year after year. However, there was no way to cure them through medical treatment. I also tried other methods such as folk remedies, qigong and worshiping Buddha. But none had an effect.”
Ms. Mao once visited a famous expert in hepatic disease, whose father was a private doctor for the central government leaders. The expert treated her for six years, but eventually was at a loss as to how to cure the illness. Several experienced doctors concluded, based on her laboratory reports and clinical symptoms, that Ms. Mao could live only one year at most. While in deep desperation, she learned of Falun Gong from her neighbor and then began her cultivation pratice.
Ms. Mao said, “After reading Zhuan Falun, I understood the reasons for my suffering, the meaning of life and the principles by which to conduct oneself. I immediately felt relaxed both in mind and body. Two days later, all the symptoms of my illnesses disappeared. One month later, I went to the hospital for a test and got a completely normal bill of health. I have been free of illness since then. When my daughter was six months old, she was in poor health and suffered from the same illnesses as I. The doctors were very worried about her. She began practicing Falun Gong with me when she was nine years old. Soon, she fully recovered.”
My Bosses Read Zhuan Falun and Started to Practice Falun Gong
After she fully recovered from the illnesses, Ms. Mao moved to the United States in October 1996 to join her husband. She worked at a Chinese restaurant. Her boss promised her that she would get to work at the front desk and get a pay raise after she worked for one month. However, after she started the job, he instead arranged for her to do odd jobs in the kitchen and didn’t raise her salary after more than one year. Ms. Mao didn’t argue with him. She conducted herself according to Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and always worked hard.
Ms. Mao recalled, “My co-workers all said that I was a big fool. But my boss was very satisfied with me. He often praised me for my good health. I told him that it was all because of my practicing Falun Gong, and introduced Zhuan Falun to him. He was very impressed and started practicing Falun Gong by himself at home.”
Afterwards, Ms. Mao became pregnant with her second child and therefore quit her job to rest at home. Another restaurant owner learned that she was a great worker, so he contacted her and asked her to work for him after her baby was born.
Ms. Mao said, “He found me and asked me to work for him. He promised to give me a higher salary and offer to drive. So I went to his restaurant afterwards. He is from Northeast China. He had a very bad temper and often yelled at the delivery drivers. The drivers were all afraid of him. I then brought Zhuan Falun to him. He read it and became very interested in the principles taught in the book. Some while later, he told the drivers, ‘I need to fix my temper. When I yell at you guys, you actually were not in an unfavorable situation because I gave De [virtue] to you.’ Since then, he could control his temper and be nice to the employees.”
Supervisor Quit the CCP after Learning the Facts about Falun Gong
Afterwards, Ms. Mao immigrated to Canada and worked at a food company. Following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, she worked carefully and conscientiously, and got along very well with her colleagues. Her boss and supervisor often praised her.
One day the supervisor told her that the boss was very satisfied with her and wanted to raise her wages one more dollar per hour. Ms. Mao asked, “Does this apply to everyone or just me?” The supervisor told her that it was only for her. She then declined with thanks. She explained to the supervisor, “I’m a Falun Gong practitioner. It is my responsibility to do a good job. If you raise only my wages, it may lead to conflicts. So I would rather not accept it. But thank you very much!” This produced a favorable impression on her boss and supervisor.
The food industry experienced a hard time at the peak of the SARS outbreak and production declined significantly. The boss asked the supervisor to lay off the new staff and cut down senior employees’ work hours. However, he told the supervisor to ensure that Ms. Mao could work 40 hours a week because she contributed a lot to the company.
This placed the supervisor in a very difficult position. Nobody wanted to cut his or her hours, for everyone needed to support his or her family. Upon learning of this, Ms. Mao said to the supervisor, “I can work less hours. It’s ok if you cut mine. Don’t cut the others.”
Ms. Mao said, “Prior to this, the supervisor had some negative thoughts about Falun Gong because of the lies and slanders he heard from the CCP’s propaganda. He wouldn't listen to any truth clarification. But through this experience, he started paying attention to Falun Gong practitioners, and found that practitioners always worked very diligently and didn’t compete for personal gain. Afterwards, I clarified the facts about Falun Gong to him. He listened carefully and quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
“Now I work at another company that has many Chinese employees whose minds were deeply poisoned by the CCP, and some even said some unrespectful words about Dafa and Master. I keep telling them the facts about Falun Gong. Now, most of them have quit the CCP. In the past they didn’t let me play songs written by practitioners, but now they no longer stop me even when I play the recordings of Master teaching the Fa. Some employees also listen to the recording and told me that they were very interested.”
Persistently Clarifying the Facts about Falun Gong for 13 Years
Ms. Mao stated that she has benefited so much from practicing Falun Gong. “This cultivation practice is so good. It is great for health, good for the mind and body, and raises people's moral standards. It benefits the nation and the people. However, the CCP slanders Falun Gong and its founder through its wicked propaganda, leading Chinese people to be unable to distinguish right from wrong and good from bad. Some Chinese people even took the evil CCP’s side and reported practitioners to the authorities, which placed them in a very dangerous position. Falun Dafa is the Buddha Fa. If a human being has hatred against the Buddha Fa and helps the CCP persecute practitioners, he or she is in terrible danger! If we practitioners don’t clarify the truth to them, how can they be aware of the situation? Learning the truth is their only hope to be saved. Falun Gong practitioners are cultivating Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. We have the compassion to help people become aware of the truth.”
In the past 13 years, Ms. Mao often went to Chinatown and the Chinese Consulate to distribute truth-clarifying materials to Chinese people. In addition, she has persistently phoned people in Mainland China to inform them of the facts about Falun Gong. People who learned the truth quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. They came to understand that Falun Gong is good, and no longer participate in the persecution.
Forced Labor Camp Chief Quit the CCP with His Family
The director of a women’s forced labor camp in Northeast China often participated in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. His name was often seen in the persecution reports. In order to help him know the truth, Ms. Mao found his contact information and made a call to him. She clarified the truth to him, as a compatriot who also came from Northeast China. The director replied, “I can feel that you sincerely care about me. The CCP is just about struggle and fighting each other.” He quit the CCP and said that he would no longer participate in the persecution. Moreover, he also helped his family quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Since then, his name has never appeared in the persecution reports again.
Ms. Mao said, “Once I called a forced labor camp guard, clarified the truth to him and persuaded him to quit the CCP. He told me that he would do so if I could give him an example of people recovering from cancer by practicing Falun Gong. I then took my experience as the example. After hearing this, he quit the CCP immediately. He told me that he often saw practitioners who were detained in the forced labor camp doing the exercises. In the end he said, ‘I would like to learn Falun Gong in the future.’”
Police Officers Protect Practitioners after Learning the Truth
A section head of a police department in Northeast China arrested a practitioner who was reading the Minghui website at an Internet bar, and planned to sentence the practitioner. The practitioner’s family was very worried and asked practitioners overseas for help. Ms. Mao then called the police officer and clarified the truth to him for more than an hour. After learning the truth, he changed his mind. He quit the CCP and released the practitioner the next day.
After practitioners tapped into the Changchun City Cable TV network and broadcast videos that clarified the facts about Falun Gong, Jiang Zemin gave the order to kill practitioners. The authorities began large-scale arrests of practitioners. Ms. Mao couldn’t sleep after hearing this. She made calls to the Changchun City Police Department and police stations to clarify the truth.
Ms. Mao said, “A police officer understood the truth. He thought I was calling from a public telephone kiosk and was afraid for my safety. He told me that he wanted to protect me. I told him that I was outside of China, and asked him to protect practitioners in Changchun City. Several days later, he told me that his police station arrested five practitioners and were going to search them. One practitioner had about 100 copies of Master’s articles hidden inside her clothes. She put the copies under a chair while no one was looking. The police officer happened to see this. In order to protect her, he sat on that chair until all the other police officers left that room. He then hid the copies in his cabinet and returned them to the practitioner afterwards. Because of his protecting her, the practitioner was not subjected to further persecution and was soon released.”
Call for Conscience to Stop the Evil Persecution
In the case of doctors and officials who, against their conscience, participated in the persecution, Ms. Mao still called them to clarify the truth.
Through making calls to those people, Ms. Mao also collected a great deal of evidence about Falun Gong practitioners being killed for their organs, which were sold for enormous profit in the organ transplant trade.
Once she called a hospital in Shenyang City and asked, “Does your hospital provide kidney transplantation?” The doctor replied, “Come as soon as possible. We have kidneys from living people. We can get you one within two days.”
Several years ago, a hospital in Gansu Province did three liver transplantation operations in one month. Ms. Mao called the hospital and asked how they got the livers. The doctor told her that the livers were offered by the Fourth Military Medical University. As soon as they requested a liver, officials from the military medical university would deliver one by air.
She once talked on the phone with a patient who had just undergone a kidney transplantation operation in an army hospital. She asked where the kidney came from. The patient told her, “The doctors only said that it was from a 24-year-old young man who was very healthy. They asked me not to ask any other information because it was confidential.”
Ms. Mao called a hospital in South China and asked, “Are the kidneys you used for transplantation operations all from Falun Gong practitioners?” The doctor said “Yes.” When she questioned him as to how they dared to do so, the doctor told her that every hospital did the same thing.
A doctor in the surgery department of a military hospital in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region told her, “In order to ensure the quality, the kidneys we use are all from people who are very healthy and under 30 years old. It seems that there are numerous donors.”
She once called a detention center in Northeast China and asked if there were practitioners detained there. The guard told her that there were more than 10 practitioners. She then asked, “Do you provide kidney donors?” The guard said that they had done so before and that if Ms. Mao wanted it, she could come first for a blood test and they would let the courts know. She further asked about the donor’s gender. The guard told her that it would be fine as long as the donor was young and that gender didn’t make a big difference. He added that donors from rural villages would be better.
Ms. Mao said that based on this information obtained through making truth-clarifying calls, it was all the more necessary to make people aware of the truth, to stop their participating in the persecution and clear away their sins. Many people did stop committing such crimes after learning the truth.
She gave two examples. “I got to know of two people who planned to do kidney transplantations, so I clarified the truth to them. One was a 30-year-old man in Northeast China. He'd gone to the Jilin University Hospital for his nephropathy. The doctors advised him to do get a kidney transplant and promised him that he could get the best kidney within several weeks. I told him, ‘If the doctor finds a kidney for you, a young healthy Falun Gong practitioner will be killed. The practitioner’s kidney will be given to you and his or her heart and liver might be given to someone else. Are you really willing to extend your life by killing others? In addition, aren’t you afraid of living with the practitioner’s kidney? When the truth of the persecution is fully exposed, you will be living evidence [of the crimes committed in the persecution].’ He then decided not to do the operation. I asked him to sincerely recite ‘Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forberance is good.’
“The other person was a provincial-level cadre in Northwest China who suffered from serious nephropathy and wanted a kidney transplantation operation. After I clarified the truth to him, he quit the CCP and wrote down ‘Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ in his notebook. He sincerely recited these words every day. We've kept in touch, and so far severe years have passed; he is fine even without the operation.”
Ms. Mao said that under the CCP’s atheism and lies, Chinese people’s moral standards have declined significantly. Under the CCP, some doctor who should have healed the wounded and rescued the dying has become butchers and murderers. The police who should have protected the people have become executioners who trample on the law and indiscriminately slaughter innocent people. These kinds of crimes are still going on in Mainland China. Ms. Mao believes that the CCP will come to an end soon and that Falun Dafa will save people’s lives. She said that she will continue clarifying the truth to people, calling on their conscience, so that they will have a bright future.
