(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents about persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 3 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 60 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Multiple Practitioners Arrested

Over 50 agents including Fan Zejun from the Pengzhou City 610 Office and director Ding Wei from the Longfeng Town Police Station arrested 46 practitioners who were reading Falun Gong books together at a practitioner's home in Longfeng Town on the morning of November 5, 2013. Many of the practitioners were released that evening. However, Mr. Li Yongxian, Ms. Wang Xiaoping, Ms. Yi Sixiu, Ms. Su Guiju, and Ms. Zhang Jiaqiong from Longfeng Town; Mr. Zhou Yuxue, Mr. Yin Xiansong, Ms. Xu Deqiong, and Ms. Wu Xiuying from Jiulong Town; Mr. Zhao Qiang and Ms. Li Mei from Tongji Town; and Ms. Yang Qiru from Xinxing Town are still being held.

2. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Wang Qingsheng Arrested Again

Mr. Wang Qingsheng was arrested on the morning of November 06, 2013, by Peng Yunfei and others from Xiangtan Iron and Steel Factory. They had been waiting for him at the front door of his home. Mr. Wang was released due to high blood pressure (over 200) that afternoon.

3. [Yanshi City, Henan Province] Mr. Liu Tingxian Arrested

Officers from Yanshi City barged into Mr. Liu Tingxian's home and arrested him on the afternoon of October 31, 2013. He is being held at a Brainwashing Center.

4. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Sun Guangqin, Ms. Zhao Shuyun, and Ms. Sun Jie were arrested by officers from the Jiaxinzi Police Station for distributing Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs in a rural area on the afternoon of November 6, 2013. They are being held at the Baoqing County Detention Center.

5. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Ailiang and Mr. Li Chunsheng Arrested

Ms. Zhao Ailian and Mr. Li Chunsheng from Shengli Oilfield in Dongying City were arrested by officers from a local Criminal Police Group for talking to people about Falun Gong in Shikou Town on November 6, 2013. Ms. Zhao was taken to the Jishu Brainwashing Center; Mr. Li was taken to the Shengcai Brainwashing Center.

6. [Zhenjiang City, Jiansu Province] Ms. Zhang Qihua Arrested

Ms. Zhang Qihua from Jurong City was arrested in Baitu Town for handing out informational materials about the persecution of Falun Gong on November 6, 2013. Her whereabouts are unknown.

7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ye Shuxia and Ms. Zhang Xiaojie Tortured

Ms. Ye Shuxia, who is being held in the Qinhuangdao City No.1 Detention Center, was splashed with hot pepper water while she was doing Falun Gong exercises in her cell on November 05, 2013.

Inmates poured cold water on Ms. Zhang Xiaojie. Guard Hu Wei splashed her with hot pepper water to try to make her wear the uniform.

8. [Yuxi City, Yunnan Province] Mr. Liu Shuhua Arrested

Mr. Liu Shuhua was arrested on the morning of October 22, 2013, by Ren Honglin from the Chunhe Town Police Station and agents from the 610 Office who had been waiting for him near his home. They confiscated an MP3 player, over 40 Falun Gong books, and photos of Falun Gong founder Mr. Li Hongzhi. He has been released.

9. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Liu Fengrong and Ms. Dai Zhenyun Arrested

Ms. Liu Fengrong and Ms. Dai Zhenyun from the Songshan District were arrested by officers from the Songshan District Police Department in Chifeng City around October 29, 2013. They are being held at the Songshan District Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Jing and others from the Maiji District in Tianshui City were arrested by officers from the Maiji District Domestic Security Division on October 10, 2013. They are still being held in the detention center.

11. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Yang Shuqin Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Yang Shuqin, in her 80s, was arrested by officers in the Yuexiu District on March 24, 2013, for handing out informational materials about Falun Gong. Her house was ransacked. The Yuexiu District Court sentenced her in the middle of September to three years in prison with four years reprieve.

12. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Mr. Hu Zongzhi and Ms. Chou Min Arrested

Mr. Hu Zongzhi and Ms. Chou Min, both teachers at Sanxia University, were arrested on October 23, 2013, by the university's Security Division and officers from the Xiling Domestic Security Division. Their houses were ransacked. Both are being held in the Yichang No.1 Detention Center.

13. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Huang Lijun Arrested

Mr. Huang Lijun from the Lishui District of Nanjing City was arrested by plainclothes police on October 23, 2013. His whereabouts are unknown.
