(Minghui.org) There were many Falun Gong practitioners arrested by officers from the Qingdao Police Department on May 2, 2013. They include Mr. Yang Naijian, Ms. Yang Youxin, Mr. Feng Hua, Ms. Liu Xiuzhen, Ms. Liu Xiufang, Ms. Liu Xiuzhi, Ms. Han Zhengmei, Mr. Yuan Shaohua, Ms. Lu Xueqin and Ms. Cui Luning.
These arrests were conducted under the orders of the the Qingdao Police Department, 610 Office and the Political and Legal Affairs Committee.
Around 100 policemen from Qingdao Police Department surrounded Mr. Yang's home at Nugu Village (now called the Dongshan community) in the Chengyang district around 10 a.m. on May 2, and made arrests. Mr. Yang, Mr. Yang's mother Liu Xuezhen, Mr. Yang's father, Mr. Yang's aunt Ms. Liu Xuefang, Mr. Yang's aunt Ms. Liu Xuezhi and her husband, and four Qingdao Falun Gong practitioners (two men and two women) who were staying at Mr. Yang's home at the time, were arrested.
On the same day, policemen from the State Security Bureau and Shuiqinggou Police Station broke into practitioner Ms. Lu Xueqin's home and ransacked it and waited for the owner to come home. Ms. Lu's husband came home and was beaten by the police.
It was reported that Ms. Liu Xiuzhen, Ms. Liu Xiufang, Ms. Liu Xiuzhi, Ms. Lu Xueqin and Ms. Cui Luning are currently detained at the Liutingbianfang Police Station in the Chengyang district. One of them had a heart problem and was taken elsewhere. Mr. Yang and other male practitioners were taken away in police cars, and their whereabouts are unknown. They were likely sent to the Qingdao Police Department.
Ms. Han Zhengmei and Ms. Yang Youxin were released.
