(Minghui.org) On April 25, 2013, officers from several different police stations illegally arrested 17 practitioners, who are now in the detention center in Benxi City. The arrests were orchestrated by Lu Gang, the political head of the Mingshan Domestic Security Division in Benxi City. The practitioners have now been interrogated many times, and the police have been trying to collect evidence to frame them.

What is the average person's reaction after he or she understands the facts?

"We know Falun Gong is good"

A police officer who was involved in this incident said, "We know that Falun Gong is good, but we have to follow orders from our superiors. We understand the situation. You may check with the Mingshan Domestic Security Division. We got the order from them.”

"There is no justice"

A taxi driver said, “This is ridiculous! The police acts like bandits. There is no justice. You should complain and bring them to justice.”

"The bad guys get promotions"

A booth owner was angry, saying, "There is no justice at all. How can police officers break into a residence during the day, arrest people, and take their money and belongings. In society today, a good person ends up in jail, while the bad guys get promotions. You've got to stay with it, stay with it!”

"You are doing the right thing"

A lawyer said, "I always thought that our country was governed by law, but I am wrong. In China, the law is just to control ordinary people. It is my responsibility to tell you that they, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), have committed crimes everywhere. Based on the law, people have the right to choose their faith and have the freedom to disseminate their thoughts. You are doing the right thing according to the law and it should not be a problem. However, in China, ordinary people do not understand the law. Don't give up your rights.”

"The police act like bandits"

A neighbor was confused and said, “What is wrong if people have a faith? In my mind, they are very good people. Actually, the police acted like bandits and robbers.”

"He did not break the law--why arrest him?"

A parent of an arrested practitioner mentioned, “I thought that my son had done something illegal, but after I consulted a lawyer, I found out he did not. What the CCP is doing is illegal. Since he did not break the law, why did they arrest him? I will go and reason with them.”

"Why mistreat someone who is already in bad shape?"

After witnessing a practitioner being mistreated in a hospital, a nurse said, “That person was in such poor health, why would police still hold him in a detention center?”

Falun Gong practitioners' compassion

Falun Gong is a peaceful meditation practice, and practitioners have chosen to use compassion to inform people about it during the last 14 years, despite being persecuted. The persecution has not ended but neither has the compassion of Falun Gong practitioners.
