(Minghui.org) Ms. Lu Xiuzhen, 67, lives in the Huairou District of Beijing. She returned home in April 2013 after the labor camp system was shut down. However, the Huairou District 610 Office agents continue to persecute her and have had her income withheld.
Sent to Forced Labor Camps Three Times
Ms. Lu lives in Dazhongfule Village in the Huairou District. Because she practices Falun Gong, the 610 Office has put her in forced labor camps three times.
Most recently she was arrested by the Domestic Security Division of the Huairou District on September 29, 2012. Her home was ransacked. She was detained in the Nihe Detention Center, located in the Shunyi District, and then transferred to a forced labor camp.
Term Ends, Harassment Begins
She returned home because the labor camp was closed in April 2013. She also received official documents indicating that her forced labor term had ended.
However, Wang Wei, Xu Xiaolong, Li Fengxia, and others from the 610 Office and the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Huairou District constantly harassed her by calling her or visiting her at home. They pressured her to write or sign statements renouncing Falun Gong.
They then called Ms. Lu's son, ordering him to write the statements for her, but she wouldn't let him do that. They tried to bribe her with rice, flour, cooking oil, and 500 yuan, but she did not cooperate.
The 610 Office and the Political and Legal Affairs Committee came up with another strategy. They ordered Dazhongfule Village directors Xu Shuming, Liu Pengyun, Liu Lizhi, and others to stop giving Ms. Lu Xiuzhen her living allowance, beginning in July 2013. Wang Wei, Xu Xiaolong, and Li Fengxia also confiscated a 12,000-yuan road compensation that was issued to her.
The village officials gave Ms. Lu's bank cards, including her bank account for her one-child compensation, to her ex-husband. Her ex-husband then emptied the accounts.
Ms. Lu wanted to cancel the account to start a new one, but she lost her identification card. The village committee refused to let her have separate household registration from that of her ex-husband.
Because of the 610 Office and the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, Ms. Lu now has no income at all.
