(Minghui.org) At San Francisco's major tourist attractions, one can often see Falun Gong practitioners talking with tourists from China and informing them of the facts of the persecution. Over the years, Falun Gong practitioners have observed that an increasing number of Chinese people have become aware of the goodness of Falun Gong and have recognized the vicious nature of the Chinese Communist Party. Many of them chose to renounce their memberships to the CCP.
Starting with the Tour Guides
When several elderly Falun Gong practitioners first started going to the scenic areas, they saw many tourists from China. They all came in tour buses with tour guides. As soon as a tourist came close to a Falun Gong practitioner, a tour guide would stop them, saying, “Do not take flyers from them. Someone might videotape you and you will get into trouble when you go back to China.” No one living in the U.S. would believe such lies, but they can scare people who have lived under the long and oppressive rule of the Chinese Communist regime.
The practitioners realized that the Chinese consulate had bribed or threatened the guides in order to have them prevent tourists from learning the facts. Thus, practitioners decided to clarify the facts to the tour guides first.
Usually, after a guide introduces the scenic location to the tour group, they wait by the buses while the tourists walk around and take pictures. The practitioners used these opportunities to chat with the guides. Practitioners told them that they should not help the CCP prevent the Chinese people from learning the facts.
One tour guide confided in a practitioner that they are quite helpless. The Chinese consulate often meets with them and makes threats. The consulate tells them that if a tourist reports the guide for not interfering when Falun Gong practitioners give out flyers, then the guide will lose opportunities to host tour groups from China. A practitioner told the guide, “This is exactly how the CCP creates and atmosphere of terror. They make the guides and tourists monitor each other. How evil is that? In reality, many high officials' relatives are in the U.S. Even those high officials are not wholeheartedly cooperating with the consulate. Why should you? Is it worth it to work for them if you risk your very future?”
Gradually, some tour guides understood this and no longer prevented tourists from taking flyers from practitioners. Some guides have even quit the CCP themselves. They tell tourists, “Go see what they're saying. It's not a problem.” Gradually, the practitioners and these tour guides have gotten to know each other better. The guides will greet the Falun Gong practitioners, saying, “Auntie, how many people have quit the CCP today?” or “Uncle, it's cold outside, dress more warmly!”
Once a bus carried several dozen tourists. The practitioners had not been able to speak with all of them, yet it was time for them to get back on the bus. A practitioner went to the bus and it happened that this tour guide had learned the truth about the persecution. The guide said to the practitioner, “Auntie, all of them have returned. It's the perfect time for you to talk to them all together!”
So this practitioner talked to the tourists for about 30 minutes. The entire group all quietly listened and some of them nodded and smiled.
“Falun Dafa Is Great!”
Once a group from a Chinese company visited the scenic location. There were thirteen in the group and they were all pretty young. They were taking pictures and having lively conversations. The practitioners took the initiative to talk to them. “Welcome to the United States. You are the elite of China. I would like to give you crucial information for your life and future.” They continued to take pictures. Falun Gong practitioners used every second possible to talk to each of them individually. They spoke of the benefits of Falun Dafa, the evil of the CCP, the staged Tiananmen Square self-immolation, and the ancient rock bearing the words: “The CCP is to be destroyed.” Most of them understood and agreed with what the practitioners said.
As they posed for a group picture a young man in the group yelled, “Falun Dafa is great!” Everyone else smiled and cheered. After the group picture, this young man said to the rest of them, “Everyone gather around. Let this auntie talk to you.” Many of them were shocked when the practitioner told them some of the details of the persecution, facts that many people in China cannot access easily. Eleven agreed to quit the CCP then and there. One young lady in the group asked to take a picture with the practitioner. She said, “Falun Dafa practitioners really are good people. You are at an advanced age, yet you are working so hard to help Chinese people.”
“I Hope Heaven Will Soon Destroy the CCP”
Once a young woman pulling a rolling suitcase walked by. A practitioner approached her and said, “Young lady, are you from mainland China?” She said that she was and she was here for business training. They talked for nearly half an hour. In the end the young woman said, “Auntie, I understand now. The CCP is so brutal! I hope heaven will soon destroy it! I firmly quit the CCP.” The young woman sincerely thanked the practitioner as she said good-bye.
Another time, a tour group of professionally dressed Chinese people arrived at a tourist attraction. It turned out that they were government officials, with one of them referred to by group members as the “bureau director.” They all refused to accept Falun Gong flyers. The practitioners grappled with how to help them learn the facts. The tour group began taking a group picture and one elderly practitioner took this as an opportunity to speak to all of them at once. She said, “You are the elite of China and the hope of the country's future. For this reason you ought to learn the truth about the persecution. The CCP has done the most evil deed ever to be seen on this planet, removing the organs of living Falun Gong practitioners. Wang Lijun and Bo Xilai are examples of officials receiving karmic retribution for persecuting Falun Gong. The CCP has angered both Heaven and the world's people. The heavens will destroy the CCP right in front of our eyes very soon. I hope you understand this and hurry to quit the CCP. This way you will be safe.” Several in the group seemed to be very touched. When they were taking pictures separately, practitioners spoke to those who had appeared to have been touched by the practitioner's speech and they all ended up agreeing to quit the CCP.
Two western practitioners started to go one of the tourist attractions to do the Falun Gong exercises and drew a lot of attention. Many Chinese tourists took photos and they often called to each other, “Look, foreigners also practice Falun Gong!” Another time, a western tourist wanted to learn Falun Gong. He followed the practitioners and did the exercises. After that, he also helped to hand out flyers. He said many things, but the practitioners there at the time did not understand much English and so he just hugged them and gave them two thumbs-ups.
There are many more stories like this. A practitioner who volunteers at the tourist attractions said, “Sentient beings are awakening. More and more people are beginning to know the truth about the persecution. The tide of quitting the CCP is rising in China. We believe that soon everything will be revealed. All predestined people will be saved.”
