(Minghui.org) Hong Liu, chief of the domestic security division, threatened the family members that Liu Qiusheng and Yin Yucai were going to be sentenced to prison on February 10, 2014, when the family members visited the division in Duchang County to request Mr. Liu and Mr. Yin's release. Outside of the normal process, Hong also demanded that the family members show their identification cards.
Both practitioners have been held at the Duchang County Detention Center for more than 30 days.
Mr. Liu and Mr. Yin from Duchang County, Jiujiang City, went to Xubu to clarify the facts about Falun Gong to people on January 13, 2014. They were arrested by the local police and their homes were ransacked.
Mr. Yin Detained Twice
Mr. Yin Yucai, 83, was the former presiding judge of the Duchang County Criminal Court and former director of the Duchang County Parasitic Disease Treatment and Prevention Facility. He was first held in the Jiujiang Forced Labor Camp from the beginning of 2001 to the end of 2003.
He was arrested again on January 29, 2005, and sentenced to eight years in prison in June 2006. He had developed mental disorders caused by the physical and mental torture by the time he was released from Yuzhang Prison in Jiangxi Province on July 4, 2011.
Mr. Liu Arrested Five Times Between 2000 and 2010
Mr. Liu Qiusheng, 49, was employed as a statistics analyst at the Duchang Investigation Group for more than 30 years. He has been arrested and detained five times since 1999.
Officers from the Domestic Security Division attempted to arrest him in 2011. He became homeless to escape arrest. His family was harassed, and his wife was forced to divorce him.
Mr. Liu was arrested and held in a detention center for two weeks in the second half of 2010. He was beaten and two ribs were broken. His mother had a stroke and passed away, but the police department refused to let him see his mother one last time.
He was arrested by the domestic security division on June 28, 2007 and held for 16 days.
Mr. Liu was sentenced to 18 months in the Majialong Forced Labor Camp in Jiujiang City in April 2005, where he was subjected to different kinds of torture. After he was released from the camp, his salary was first cut and then stopped altogether. He was closely monitored, and during sensitive periods the 610 Office and police officers from the Domestic Security Division harassed him and ransacked his home.
He was arrested in September 2002, detained for more than three months, and fined 5,000 yuan. He also was detained for one month in July 2000 and fined 2,500 yuan.
