(Minghui.org) Three female practitioners from the Greater Khingan Range area were arrested on July 10, 2014. Two remain in custody, and the local police fabricated evidence in an attempt to frame them.
Illegal Arrests
While Ms. Gao Yanjun, Ms. Gao Shuying, and Ms. Tian Jinling were distributing Shen Yun DVDs in Taergen Town, Xinlin District of the Greater Khingan Range area, about a dozen police officers from the Taergen Police Station, led by director Wang Suo, surrounded them.
When the practitioners refused to go with them, the police used force to get them into the police cars. Some officers threw Ms. Gao Yanjun into a puddle, and they roughly seized the practitioners by their arms. By the time the women arrived the Taergen Police Station, they had bruises up and down their arms.
Women Beaten While Police Fabricate Evidence
Officials from the Xinlin District Police Department arrived at the police station to interrogate the three ladies that same night of the arrest.
Several of the officers yanked the practitioners' hair to force them into position for their pictures. Ms. Gao Yanjun's face was swollen after she was thrown into a wall. Despite the mistreatment, the three practitioners refused to cooperate with the officers. They were then handcuffed together and not allowed to sit for many hours.
Meanwhile, the authorities coerced people into making false statements against the practitioners in the afternoon of July 11.
After the beatings she underwent, Ms. Gao Shuying was dizzy, nauseated, and vomited – signs of suffering a concussion. She was released in the evening of July 11, 2014.
Ms. Gao Yanjun and Ms. Tian Jinling are still detained at the Xinlin Detention Center.
Family Severely Impacted
Ms. Gao Yanjun's family was in great distress after the arrest. Her mother, in her 80s, had a heart attack after hearing the news of her daughter's situation. Her father was threatened as soon as he went to the police department to request her release. Her teenage child was left home alone since her husband worked in another city.
Ms. Tian's mother-in-law, 86, and her teenage child were also left at home without care.
