(Minghui.org) Police in various sections of Tonghua City recently harassed and arrested Falun Gong practitioners who have filed lawsuits against Jiang Zemin. In 1999, Jiang was the head of the Chinese regime, and he started the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong.
Three police officers and two other members of the local authorities went to Ms. Liu Shumei's home on August 3, 2015. They had Ms. Liu's original suit against Jiang Zemin in their possession, and asked her if she had written the indictment and mailed it. They then ransacked her home. The officers included Liu Guoxiang from the Tiechang Police Station of Erdaojiang District and Wang Haiyang from the Erdaojiang District Police Department.
Two police officers went to Ms. Liu's home again on September 17. They demanded that she go to the police station the next morning and said that she would be detained. The reason they gave: she had a bad attitude on August 3, and the police chief ordered her arrest.
Ms. Liu exposed the actions of the police on the Internet. The police then started monitoring Ms. Liu's home around the clock. To avoid further persecution Ms. Liu left her home and is thus unable to take care of her parents who are in their 80s.
About five officers from the Minzhu Police Station in Dongchang District broke into the home of 79-year-old practitioner Ms. Xuan Yanling to arrest her. Ms. Xuan was not at home.
Police went to her bedroom and confiscated three printers, a laptop and some Falun Gong books, despite her family's protests. Ms. Xuan also left her home to avoid persecution.
About five officers from the Guangming Police Station broke into Ms. Sun Shumei's home in an attempt to arrest her. They confiscated two printers, a laptop and some Falun Gong books. Ms. Sun's whereabouts is unknown.
Ms. Li Junlan from Liuhe County was arrested on September 24, 2015 for suing Jiang Zemin. Her elementary-school-age daughter was left at home unattended.
Mr. Sheng Xueguo from Dong'an Village, Gushanzi Town of Liuhe County was taken to the Gushanzi Police Station by police. They interrogated him about his criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin.
About five officers from the Guangming Police Station in Dongchang District arrested Mr. Liu Baoyun, 69, on September 29 who has been selling omelets at a crossroad for many years. They detained him at the local police station and released him at a later date.
