(Minghui.org) The authorities have recently harassed many local practitioners who've filed lawsuit against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party for his persecution of Falun Dafa. However, most of them were merely to test Dafa practitioners' righteous faith.
The police told practitioners that “some [Dafa practitioners] will be detained and others will be imprisoned.” But the reality was far from what they threatened.
One practitioner, who is well-known to the authorities, was visited by the head of the local domestic security division and 8 police officers. Their visit was to confirm her recent criminal complaint against Jiang.
The head of the domestic security division tried to coerce her into signing a statement promising not to sue Jiang again, otherwise, they would arrest her.
The practitioner refused to sign.
“We are following the law. If you don't sign, we will arrest you!” The head of the domestic security division said.
“Are you really following the law?” The practitioner replied. “You've previously ransacked my house, arrested me and jailed me. All without any authorized paperwork. Your so-called statement has no legal basis either. How can you claim to be following the law?”
The policemen immediately changed their attitude and found an excuse to leave.
Having Fear Can Result in a Different Outcome
Another practitioner had a different experience. Police went to her home and threatened to arrest her. She was scared and signed the statement. As they were about to leave one policeman pointed a finger at her and said, “You've wasted your cultivation.”
The practitioner immediately regretted what she had done. She knew that Master had used the policeman's words to show her that she didn't make the right choice at a critical moment.
The Situation Is Easing Up in Some Places
Our city's police chief is a relative of a practitioner. After the lawsuits against Jiang started, the police chief told his subordinates to ease up on cases related to Falun Dafa and not to follow orders from higher authorities so strictly.
When the police visited a practitioner's home, they found a few thousand calendar frames to make calendars that contain articles about Falun Dafa and the persecution. If this had happened a few years back, it would have been a huge deal and many practitioners would have been implicated and jailed.
However, the practitioner was only taken to the police substation for a short interview and was then allowed to return home.
Most “house-visits” in our area have reduced to mere “phone calls”. We understand that it is not the authorities being compassionate to practitioners, but that the old forces in other dimensions have mostly been destroyed, as the Fa-rectification is about to end.
It is a critical now to conduct ourselves well, not to do regrettable things and to stand up when the authorities violate the law.
