(Minghui.org) Mr. Wu Junhe and Mr. Li Feng were tried for the second time for their belief in Falun Gong on April 20, 2015. Lawyers defended their innocence.
Chiefs from the People's Congress, public security department and discipline inspection attended the hearing at Fuxin County Court. To keep supporters from attending the trial, the court was roped off and many officers in plainclothes or uniform were stationed inside and outside the court building. Over twenty police cars parked in front of the court.
Fuxin County Court
The first trial took place on January 27, 2015, and a recess was called after the lawyers pointed out that the persecution of Falun Gong was illegal and challenged the legality of trying their clients.
The arrest was ordered only because a Communist Party official received a phone call from a practitioner who tried to persuade him to stop persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Subsequently, over 10 practitioners in the area, including Mr. Wu and Mr. Li, were arrested.
