(Minghui.org) Fangzheng County Police officers Bai Wenjie and Wang Linchun traveled over 600 miles from Heilongjiang Province to Tangshan in Hebei Province to escort Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Li Chang'an back to the Fangzheng County Detention Center in late May 2015.
The Domestic Security Division did not allow family visits. The County Prosecutors Office is preparing a formal charge.
Mr. Li had left his hometown several years ago to avoid police persecution. A recent accident caused an injury to his foot. After spending several days in a hospital, he checked into a hotel. Local police arrived within 30 minutes and arrested him. Apparently, his name was on a nationwide black list.
Officers Bai Wenjie and Wang Chunlin from Mr. Li’s hometown arrived three days later to take him back to Fangzheng County.
Fellow practitioners called Bai to tell him the facts about Falun Gong. Bai claimed that he is not responsible for the case.
Mr. Li Chang'an’s lawyer talked to Bai and got the run around.
Prior Arrest and Persecution
Mr. Li was arrested on October 21, 2003 and was sentenced to prison. He was put in solitary confinement and tortured in the Tailai Prison.
Mr. Li and practitioner Ms. Si Bingling were arrested on July 7, 2010. Mr. Li escaped, but Ms. Si was sentenced to a 10-year prison term. Police issued an arrest warrant for Mr. Li, but could not find him.
