(Minghui.org) Ms. Chen Ximei and Ms. Hu Aijiao from Nanping City, Fujian Province, have been illegally detained for 11 months in Nanping City Detention Center for practicing Falun Gong.

Ms. Chen was the primary caregiver for her 90-year-old mother, who is paralyzed. When Ms. Chen was arrested, her mother was grief stricken, and she passed away in October 2014. Before her death, she did not get to see her daughter, because security agents prohibited any contact between the two.

Ms. Chen worked at at the Bank of China. She was a diligent employee and was recognized as an “Advanced Worker” every year.

She was arrested by officers from the Nanping City 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division when she returned home on the morning of September 2, 2014. The police ransacked her home and took two computers, four mobile phones, a collection of Falun Gong books, and truth clarification materials.

Ms. Hu Aijiao was arrested with Ms. Chen while she was tending to her mother. Ms. Hu is from Bantou Street, Zhanghu Town, Nanping City. She does not have any family members and was thus granted the State's “Five Guarantees,” which provide food, clothing, health care, housing, and funeral or education expenses for qualified citizens and/or orphans.

In 2004, she was arrested and sentenced to three years in prison for putting up stickers about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her housing, social security subsidies, and the Five Guarantees subsidies were all taken away due to her practicing Falun Gong. In 2007, after surviving torture in the detention center, she was released and able to find work as a babysitter and caregiver.

In November 2014, the police submitted their case to the Procuratorate in an attempt to have Ms. Chen and Ms. Hu sentenced in an illegal trial.
