(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Hu Yanxia is scheduled to be illegally tried in the Qiaoxi District Court in Shijiazhuang City on September 8, 2015.
A large number of officers and plainclothes officers from Shijiazhuang City 610 Office, the police department, and the domestic security division arrested or harassed approximately 23 Falun Gong practitioners and ransacked their homes on November 15, 2013. Ms. Hu was one of them.
Around 6 a.m. that day, Xili Police Station officers ransacked the home of Ms. Hu’s sister. They confiscated approximately 10,000 yuan, laptop computers, over 80 DVDs, and other personal items. Mr. Chen Tiankui, her brother-in-law, was arrested.
After learning about the arrest and harassment, Ms. Hu went to her sister’s home. She was then arrested by officers from the Shijiazhuang City Domestic Security Division and Dongli Police Station who were monitoring her sister's home.
Ms. Hu was taken back to her home, where the police ransacked the place and confiscated Falun Gong books, laptop computers, cell phones, DVDs, and other personal items. She was taken to Dongli Police Station around 11 a.m. and transferred to Nanhuochang Detention Center in Shijiazhuang City.
Ms. Hu’s arrest was approved on November 25, 2013. She was then taken to Shijiazhuang No. 2 Detention Center, which refused to accept her because of her poor physical condition. She was taken to and detained at a small hotel.
She was taken to a hospital for emergency treatment and released on December 3 because she was in such a bad way physically.
Ms. Hu was arraigned in the Qiaoxi District Court by Qiaoxi District Procuratorate in April 2014. Her trial is scheduled for September 8, 2015.
Ms. Hu started to practice Falun Gong in August 1998. Ever since July 1999 when the former dictator Jiang Zemin initiated brutal persecution of Falun Gong, Ms. Hu and her family members have often been harassed.
Her father, Mr. Hu Zongheng, was arrested five times and had to leave home to avoid further persecution for about a month. He was persecuted to death on October 17, 2012. Her mother was under tremendous pressure when her husband and daughter were persecuted. She got ill and passed away in November 2007.
