(Minghui.org) A former police woman was fired from her job because she practices Falun Gong. She has lodged a lawsuit with China's Supreme People's Procuratorate against Jiang Zemin, the head of the former Chinese communist regime, for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong.
I searched for the meaning of life for many years and looked for answers to many questions that troubled me, such as, “Where did I come from? Where will I go? Why is everyone's fate so different? Why did I experience tribulations? Why have people's moral standards deteriorated?”
My mind used to be filled with negative thoughts. Yet, I was upright and followed my own standard of behavior, which often clashed with the standard in society. I was easily provoked by the things that did not conform to my standard and ran into conflicts with other people. Though I restrained myself from fighting, I gradually felt detached from society and became unhappy.
I developed many illnesses, such as neck arthritis, a herniated lumbar disc, migraines, insomnia and a frozen shoulder. Because of my headaches I could not sleep at night. I used to be a nurse in a military hospital, and the hospital couldn’t even help me recover from my illnesses, which affected me mentally and physically.
When my heart had become heavy and was losing hope, I came across Zhuan Falun, the main book of teachings for Falun Gong, by accident. This book answered my questions about life and the human world.
After I started to practice Falun Gong I changed into a different person. I became peaceful and my attitude towards life and other people improved. My family life became harmonious, and I became open minded. I no longer complained about everything and when I faced conflicts I looked within to find where I had to change and what I had to let go of. I became considerate of others.
Falun Dafa has given me a healthy body and a peaceful mind. I turned into an upright and more selfless person by following the Falun Gong principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
My supervisor appreciates that I have turned into a hard worker and that I’ll even work extra hours when needed. I get along well with my colleagues. Whenever I see a need, I help people. I no longer fight for personal gain and let my colleagues get the benefits.
People will do anything that benefits one's reputation or saves face in our society in China. The police department was no exception. However, I refused to make up fake data or create any false cases.
Our local police station needed more funding for its daily operation. They asked for donations from the organizations in its jurisdiction. Part of the funding also came from bribing the prosecutors or defendants. Officers in the police station received bonuses before the holiday season, but I no longer accepted a bonus once I practiced Falun Gong. I no longer attended meals that local organizations had to provide for us because it was provided under pressure.
I have not received any money from anyone for practicing Falun Gong. All Falun Gong books and materials can be downloaded from the Internet. It is a person's choice to practice and is totally free of charge.
Falun Gong practitioners try to be good people by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and is therefore beneficial to people in any society and nation.
In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other members of the Politburo Standing Committee and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners over the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Communist regime established an extralegal security organization, the 610 Office, on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows its citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
