(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners in the U.K., Greece and Portugal celebrated the upcoming World Falun Dafa Day, which marks the anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Gong and the birthday of its founder, Master Li Hongzhi.
British practitioners held a rally and a press conference in London on the morning of May 7, and a parade and an art performance in the afternoon. Their activities aimed to introduce the benefits of Falun Gong to the public and raise awareness of the persecution by the Chinese Communist Party.

Those who spoke at the press conference included Dr. Liu of Falun Dafa UK, renowned Canadian human rights lawyer David Matas, and Ms. Song, a Falun Gong practitioner who had personally been persecuted in China.

The activities received great support from the public. Many condemned the persecution and expressed their support for practitioners.
Emma, a resident of London, said she highly respected Mr. Matas's for his work against organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners in China. She wished practitioners success.
Peter from Ireland said organ harvesting is inhumane and that the government is obligated to do something to stop it.

Practitioners in Portugal held a group exercise demonstration and other activities in Lisbon on May 7. Many people watched the beautiful exercises and became interested in Falun Gong. They read the display on Falun Gong's journey of resistance against the Chinese Communist Party's persecution, and signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution.
