(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 2 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 were illegally arrested.

9. [Huan County, Gansu Province] Mr. Wang Mingquan Arrested

1. [Fuyu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xia Xiaohong Arrested

Ms. Xia Xiaohong was searched and arrested at the North Fuyu Railway Station on December 25, 2017 while she and her daughter were heading to Changchun City. Four police officers ransacked her home and found nothing. Her whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Dongfeng County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Chunmei Arrested

Ms. Zhao Chunmei was arrested at work on the morning of December 20, 2017. Police ransacked her home, and confiscated her Falun Gong books and other items.

3. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Cui Hongjun Detained

Officers from the Yangzishao Police Station in Chaoyang Town, Huinan County broke into Mr. Cui Hongjun's home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and materials on the afternoon of May 7, 2017. They then hid beside his neighbor's home and arrested Mr. Cui when he came home. Mr. Cui was detained for 15 days at the Beishan Detention Center.

4. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zeng Sufen Harassed

Ms. Zeng Sufen is a 67-year-old practitioner in Qingyiba Village. On December 11, 2017, two officers suddenly came to her home, threatened to take her to a detention center and subject her to a one-week administrative detention. They came to ransack her home, but Ms. Zeng was able to stop them.

About two weeks ago, Ms. Zeng was reported when she was distributing Falun Gong materials. Officers from the Domestic Security Division arrested her. They made her sit in a chair, cuffed her, and interrogated her for most of the day. She was released and sent home that night. Her Falun Gong materials were confiscated.

5. [Linshu County, Shandong Province] Ms. Yin Peifeng Detained

Ms. Yin Peifeng was arrested on December 21, 2017 by plainclothes officers when she distributed calendars which contained information about Falun Gong. She is being held at the Linshu County Detention Center.

6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Aige Released on Bail

Ms. Wang Aige, 68, was arrested on November 27, 2017 by officers from the Dachang Town Police Station when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released on bail.

7. [Qinglong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Duan Guiping Detained

Ms. Duan Guiping is a practitioner in Zhangzi Village, Tumenzi Township. She was arrested at home by officers from the Tumenzi Township Police Station and the Qinglong County Detention Center on December 20, 2017. She is being held at the Qinglong County Detention Center.

8. [Huixian City, Henan Province] Ms. Yuan Qingmei and Ms. Ma Yanfen Detained

Ms. Yuan Qingmei and Ms. Ma Yanfen were reported to and arrested by officers from the Paishitou Township Police Station when they were talking to others about the persecution of Falun Gong on the afternoon of December 14, 2017. They were held at the Huixian City Detention Center for 15 days under administrative detention. Thereafter, Ms. Yuan was held at the Xinxiang City Detention Center. Ms. Yuan was detained for 15 days in administrative detention in October 2016.

9. [Huan County, Gansu Province] Mr. Wang Mingquan Arrested

Mr. Wang Mingquan was arrested at home by officers from the Huancheng Police Station on October 4, 2017. The officers ransacked his home, and confiscated his computer, printer, and other items.
