Exhibition Founder: Energy Spreads All Over the Facility
Co-founder Sarah Roberts said she was happy to invite practitioners again to the event.
Sarah Roberts, co-founder of the show, thanked the practitioners for participating in the event. “The most important relationship in our lives is the one we have with ourselves. My vision for the Healthy Brain and Body Show is to create a place where people can come together and learn how their mental, emotional, and physical health are intimately interconnected and affect each other profoundly,” she said.
This is why she invited practitioners again this year. “The gentle exercises allow anyone interested to give a try. And I do feel strong energy whenever [Falun Dafa] practitioners are here,” she explained. Therefore, she arranged practitioners to be located at the center of the facility, so that energy from the exercise demo could spread throughout the area.
Vendor: “This Is What I Am Looking for”
One vendor, Bruno Gamache, said he felt that he was looking for something when he came here and said, “This [Falun Dafa] is what I am looking for.” From the exercise demo, he could tell that the practice improves a person both physically and spiritually. He described the practice as “truly remarkable.”
He found that the exercises were approachable and easy to learn. After talking with a practitioner, he was happy, and found the Falun Dafa principles to be outstanding because they are something everyone should follow in their lives. “Mind and body are well connected. The principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance will help us get fit, but also guide us towards enlightenment. It is really wonderful,” he added.
Health Policy Analyst: Everyone Will Benefit from It
Health policy analyst Seham Rabaa said the exercises brought her a pleasant sense of peace and serenity.
Seham Rabaa, health policy analyst from a medical institution, said that people should pay attention to both body and mind. She added, “The principles of Falun Dafa will help people become better citizens, which will in-turn improve their physical health.”
She said she felt that genuineness and pure kindness were related to tolerance. “I believe these principles allow us to respect others as well as ourselves, so that everyone will benefit from them.”
Lance Wong works for the Canadian government, and has read Falun Dafa books previously. “I also saw the group in parades and they seem to be very good to me,” he added. He felt sorry for what practitioners were suffering in China, including detention, torture, slave labor, and forced organ harvesting.
Photographer: This Will Be My Path
Photographer Laura Stewart said she liked the Falun Dafa exercises.
Photographer Laura Stewart likes Chinese culture, and she found Falun Dafa very unique, “We often talk about calming down our minds through meditation or yoga. But they don’t work because it is difficult to control our minds.” She said that visiting the Falun Dafa booth made her feel serene. “Seeing the exercises make me relaxed. I also believe these practitioners are more lighthearted than us.”
She agreed that the principles of Falun Dafa would help people become more sincere and better understand each other. She plans to further explore Falun Dafa, “I think this will be my path.”
A Better Life
Michael Eva began learning the exercises during the event and said he was impressed by the effect. “When I started to learn the first set of exercises, I felt strong energy when moving my arms. It is amazing.”
He was glad that the exercises can be practiced at home and the practice is very convenient. “To me, the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance mean a lot, because they are what we need and they will help us appreciate our life.”
