(Minghui.org) Another Falun Gong practitioner targeted for her faith during a mass arrest in Heilongjiang Province last year is facing further prosecution.
Ms. Na Limei, in her 60s and a resident of Harbin City, was arrested and had her home ransacked on November 9, 2018. A friend who was visiting her during the police raid was held in custody for a few hours before being released.
Another 118 Falun Gong practitioners from Harbin (the capital city of Heilongjiang Province) and Daqing (a prefecture-level city about 100 miles from Harbin) were also arrested on the same day for their faith, which has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Na is currently held at Harbin No.2 Detention Center. Her arrest was approved by Harbin Railroad Procuratorate on December 12, 2018. It was reported that the procuratorate had returned her case to the police for more evidence.
Ms. Na suffered a difficult childhood after she lost her mother at age 7 and was adopted by her uncle after her father re-married. She was often beaten and verbally abused by her uncle, leaving her deeply scarred.
Meanwhile, the poor living conditions also led to many physical problems for her.
She felt a great relief and came to a deeper understanding of the meaning of life after she read Zhuan Falun, the main text of Falun Gong, in 1995. She was delighted to see her health improve significantly.
Grateful for the blessings that she received from practicing Falun Gong, she felt compelled to share her story with others. These simple acts landed her in police custody.
In addition to Ms. Na, another 12 practitioners arrested on the same day also face further prosecution for their faith. They are: Ms. Liu Yanxia, Ms. Ren Yuhong, Mr. Lu Guanru, Mr. Liu Enquan, Ms. Li Mingxiu, Mr. Qu Yanlai, Ms. Wu Yanhua, Mr. Guan Xingtao, Mr. Du Yecheng, Mr. Liu Enxi, Mr. Du Yongtang and Ms. Luan Cuiliu.
