(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners throughout Russia recently joined the worldwide celebrations honoring World Falun Dafa Day. Their activities marked the practice's introduction to the public 27 years ago on May 13 and the birthday of its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi.
The practitioners did the exercises together, danced and sang, and played waist drums in events across Russia, including in the Caucasus (Pyatigorsk and Kislovodsk), Siberia (Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Angarsk, and Ulan-ude), Vladivostok in the Far East, and Krasnodar in southern Russia.

The celebrations in Moscow took place at Bauman Garden on May 25, kicking off with a parade led by practitioners in celestial maiden costumes, a waist drum team, a dragon dance, and a lion dance. Impressed by the peaceful music and beautiful costumes, spectators applauded with enthusiasm and took many photos.

Following the parade, practitioners demonstrated the exercises on Baumann Park's central stage. The host introduced Falun Dafa, and practitioners performed traditional dances. Some audience members learned the exercises, and several children learned to make paper lotus flowers.
World Falun Dafa Day Celebrated Throughout Russia

That same day, over 3,000 miles away, other practitioners participated in a parade held in Angarsk. They shared the beauty of Falun Dafa and its principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Many people were moved by the waist drum team's performance of the song “Falun Dafa is Good.” The practitioners were greeted by warm applause throughout the parade route. “Bravo!” exclaimed one spectator. Another called out, “You are the best!”
Olga Beletskaya, an organizer of the event, said that the practitioners' performance was truly wonderful. One woman was moved to tears as Falun Dafa practitioners passed by her in their golden outfits. “This is so special and so amazing!” she exclaimed.

Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, was first introduced to the public in 1992. About 100 million people in over 100 countries practice it.
