(Minghui.org) A woman in Cangzhou City, Hebei Province is being force fed and cuffed in an awkward position while being detained for not renouncing her faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Pang Huixia and her husband, Mr. Zhang Zhenwei, were targeted in early 2019 for their faith. The police ransacked their home and confiscated their computer, printer and many other Falun Gong related books and materials.
Although Ms. Pang escaped while the police was arresting Mr. Zhang on January 15, 2019, she was arrested on February 22, 2019 after being forced to live away from home for three weeks.
When Ms. Pang's lawyer visited her at Cangzhou City Detention Center on April 28, 2019, her hands were restrained, with one arm twisted behind her back to be cuffed to another arm pulled over her shoulder. She told the lawyer that the authorities tortured her because she refused to write statements to renounce Falun Gong and held a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

Ms. Pang, whose hands remain cuffed behind her back during the day, is now facing prosecution after the police submitted her case to Yunhe District Procuratorate.
Ms. Pang and Mr. Zhang began to practice Falun Gong in 1998 and 2011, respectively. Both of them credit the practice for curing their ailments, especially Mr. Zhang's synovitis, a condition of inflammation in the membrane that lines the joints.
Prior to her latest ordeal, Ms. Pang has been arrested twice, in 2001 and 2003, for not giving up her faith.
