(Minghui.org) I was at a busy market when I noticed a senior sitting at the entrance of a nearby house. He was drooling a bit and his eyes were droopy. He looked as if he may have suffered from a stroke. I approached, and greeted him, but he didn't speak.
I said to him, “I practice Falun Dafa. I have fully recovered from many illnesses since I began practicing Dafa.”
I took out a Dafa keepsake and pointed to the words on it. I said, “Recite these words quietly or aloud, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ Whoever recites these words and believes them, will be blessed.”
The man gave me a slight nod. He reached out his hand, took the keepsake, and looked intently at the words.
“I also want to give you this [a copy of a Minghui journal],” I added. “You can take it home with you.”
The man nodded again, and indicated that I could put it in his coat pocket. When I asked him if he would like to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its youth organizations, he nodded in agreement.
I whispered in his ear, “Goodbye. I will be back to see you soon, to see how you are doing.”
The man nodded again.
Returning to the Market
When I returned to the market two months later, I heard a voice shout, “You are here!”
I then saw a senior greet me with a smile. “You recognized me!” I exclaimed, “You are looking much better now.”
“You are a good person!” the man responded, as he shook my hand and invited me over to his home.
There was the Minghui journal and the keepsake on the table. The man picked up the keepsake and, moved to tears, he said, “This is good. I recite what's written on it every day.” Tears started to well up in me too.
The man asked me to stay for dinner, but I declined. He picked up some fruit on the table, and though I declined to take it, he stuffed it into my bag. He then said sincerely, “Thank you, Thank you!”
I said to him, “My Master is Li Hongzhi [the founder of Falun Dafa]. He is here to save people. I have also benefited from Dafa. Let us thank Master.”
I encouraged him to continue reciting, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!”
I left him the pamphlet Heaven Gives Great Blessing, and then said goodbye.
As I walked down the street, I looked back and saw him in the doorway watching me, with his hands in the prayer position.
