(Minghui.org) It was recently confirmed by Minghui.org that a resident of Changchun City, Jilin Province had been secretly arrested and sentenced to four years for not renouncing her faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
While the exact timing of Ms. Tan Fengying's arrest and court trial remain to be investigated, it was known that she was sentenced by Qikai District Court in Changchun and has been sent to Jilin Women’s Prison.
As Ms. Tan lived alone and had infrequent contact with her family, her son still thought she was living with a relative in southern China when a Minghui correspondent contacted him about her sentencing.
Previous reports by Minghui.org indicated that the police ransacked Ms. Tan’s home on March 7, 2018. But as Ms. Tan wasn’t home during the raid, it’s not clear whether she was arrested around the same time.
