(Minghui.org) Two Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, residents are facing trial after they were indicted for raising awareness about their faith in Falun Gong.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an ancient spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. He Yunjie, 48, and Ms. Liu Shuya, 54, were arrested on June 10, 2020, after they were reported for distributing informational materials about Falun Gong in mid-May. The police ransacked both of their homes and confiscated their Falun Gong items. They are now detained in the Sanjian Detention Center.
Ms. He is a warehouse keeper for the Guiyang City Railroad. The authorities did not let her family visit her and froze her bank accounts. Her son, who'd just landed a job at the city fire department, was fired because of her arrest.
Ms. Liu is retired from the railway customer service department. Her bad temper and strained relationships with her family disappeared after she took up Falun Gong and strove to live up to the practice's principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.
Both women were recently indicted by the Nanming District Procuratorate and their cases have been forwarded to the Nanming District Court, which now handles most Falun Gong cases in the Guiyang region.
