(Minghui.org) I live in northeast China. I did not realize how serious the coronavirus epidemic was until January 24, 2020, the day before the Chinese New Year. After circumventing the internet blockade and accessing Minghui, I saw a special publication that focused on the epidemic. It covered the benefits of Falun Dafa and the blessings people received for supporting practitioners during the persecution as well as how they could be safe from the virus by reciting, “Falun Dafa is good.”
My husband is also a Falun Dafa practitioner, and both of us were delighted to read the special issue. Knowing how important it was to help let people know what was going on, we spent all of New Year's day making booklets of the special issue. That evening, my husband went out to distribute them on an electric bike while I made more booklets.
Both my husband and I work in healthcare agencies. Early in the morning after the Chinese New Year, we were both notified to return to work that very day. After work, however, we continued to distribute Falun Gong informational materials. We first focused on places within 10 miles of our residence and ventured to more than 20 miles away a few days later.
Because of the epidemic, there was little traffic and few pedestrians. This meant it was relatively safer since it was less likely we would be seen and reported to the police for distributing information.
But we did encounter dogs from time to time. When this happened, I would send forth righteous thoughts and shout “Falun Dafa is good!” This worked well most of the time. Once, after I left a booklet at a residential entrance, three puppies surrounded me and started to bark less than a yard away. I was very nervous because I have been afraid of dogs from the time I was a child. After I called out, “Falun Dafa is good,” however, all three of them stopped barking and backed off.
As the situation with the epidemic worsened, my husband and I realized it was urgent—if the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) locked down our region, it would be very difficult to distribute information. Several days later, this became a reality as we were ordered to stay inside and only one person from each household was allowed to go out once every two days to purchase food and essential items.
Seeing that my husband and I were willing to save people, Master helped up. Not long after the lockdown took effect, both my husband and I received special permits issued to people in healthcare agencies involved in epidemic prevention and control. With these permits, we could enter any community with no restrictions.
One day when we went to the countryside, I had an idea to paste self-adhesive stickers on utility poles and light poles. Later that day I saw designs for such stickers published on the Minghui website, and I knew that practitioners around the globe had been thinking about the same thing—saving people.
Another time I was chatting with my husband about an idea for a packet with information from the special issue mentioned above as well as new articles on the epidemic. That day on Minghui, I found a new truth-clarification material packet, which was almost the same as my idea. My husband and I were very impressed and tears came to our eyes.
In the past when I told friends, coworkers, and relatives about Falun Dafa and the persecution, some of them were uninterested. Facing this epidemic, however, many of them have asked me about it. Because our phone is likely tapped, I plan to visit them and talk in detail.
Just as I was wishing we’d have some newly-designed Dafa keepsakes that said “Falun Dafa is good” and things related to safety amid disasters, I saw such files on Minghui later that day. Moved by Master’s compassion and care, I burst into tears of joy.
Here I would also like to thank all the practitioners who work on Minghui: “Thank you for everything you have done.”
