(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held a rally in front of the Chinese Consulate in Vancouver on April 22, 2021, to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the April 25th Appeal. They held banners and called for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa. As cars passed by, several drivers honked their horns or gave practitioners a thumbs up to show their support.

Mr. Cao, who participated in the appeal in 1999, recalled that day. He said his entire family practiced Falun Dafa, and their health and moral standards improved after they began following Dafa's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in their daily lives. When he and other practitioners heard about the arrests in Tianjin, they felt they had to speak up for Falun Dafa.
He said the practitioners who quietly stood outside the Central Appeals Office in Zhongnanhai were calm and peaceful. Regarding the CCP’s claim that practitioners “sieged Zhongnanhai,” Mr. Cao said, “That is totally untrue.”
Another practitioner, Ms. Gao, who planned to join the appeal said, “I heard that practitioners were arrested in Tianjin and that we were not allowed to practice. But Falun Dafa is so good! It teaches people to be good and follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
“Practitioners tell the truth and are upright. We thought we should let the government know the true situation, so the practice site assistant, several other practitioners, and I set out for Beijing. However, the police intercepted us on our way and we returned home. The assistant practitioner was monitored afterward.”
Dennis Watson commends practitioners.
Well-known blogger Dennis Watson said, “We remember those lives tortured and murdered by the CCP.” He pointed out that the CCP maintains its power with lies. The Party deletes true information online and bribes the media to cover up the truth. That is how it brainwashes people. He commended practitioners for telling people the truth.
During the rally, the Falun Dafa Association of Vancouver issued a statement condemning the CCP’s 22-year-long persecution of peaceful Falun Dafa practitioners who follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The statement also condemned the state-sanctioned organ harvesting from practitioners and the CCP’s recent attacks on and vandalism of information sites in Hong Kong and called for the persecution to end.
