(Minghui.org) I went out to send righteous thoughts with a fellow practitioner. On the way back, we ran into strong winds. We rode on our bicycles against the winds with great difficulty.
Not far from an intersection, I saw a woman in her 50s pushing a cart selling vegetables. Braving the strong winds, she called out for people to buy her vegetables as she walked. Passersby were busy avoiding the bad weather but still buying her vegetables.
I approached her sympathetically to buy her vegetables. More importantly, I wanted to tell her about Falun Dafa. I said: “Sister, if not for one’s livelihood, who would brave such strong winds to come out and sell vegetables?” My words struck a chord with her. She replied: “What choice do I have? If I don’t sell vegetables I won’t have anything to eat! Thank you for your sympathy.” I said: “Both of us practice Falun Dafa, naturally we treat everyone kindly.” She said delightedly: “My older sister practices Falun Dafa, too. I listened to Master’s lectures some time ago, but I don’t practice it now.”
Hearing her words, I thought perhaps she was a being from high levels who signed a treaty with Master to come to earth to assist Master in the Fa-rectification. However, she was now lost in the dye vat of everyday people. I must wake her up!
As the winds were very strong, I had to shout in order to be heard. I asked her: “Sister, I ask you, do you still want to sell vegetables in your next life?” My question made her laugh. She answered back loudly: “I don’t want to sell vegetables anymore, this is too hard!” The three of us laughed at the novel exchange of words.
I continued: “Since you don’t want to do this again in your next life, then quickly return to Dafa and practice cultivation. Don’t miss an opportunity that is hard to come by. Practice cultivation diligently and return to your true origin, go back to your real home and don’t come back to this human world again to suffer hardships.”
Both of us explained to her the facts of the persecution in the hope that she would realize how precious cultivation is. She seemed moved. Her voice choked, she said: “I must take up cultivation again.” I was touched as well. Before parting ways, I said: “It is destiny that we met, I wait for your good news.” We kept waving goodbye.
I looked back again, and saw her pushing the cart with great effort moving further away. An indescribable feeling welled up in my mind. We are guests from heaven lost in the human world, going through samsara, being miserable, one life after another. One year after another, aren’t we struggling to live as well? The thought of receiving Master’s compassionate salvation makes my heart filled with gratitude.
Thank you, Master for arranging us to meet with this woman. Not only did we awaken this being and brought her back to cultivation, sentient beings in her world would also be saved by her awakening. My eyes were filled with tears of gratitude at this moment. and they covered my face.
