(Minghui.org) From December 2022 to the first day of 2023, practitioners introduced Falun Dafa to the public at three different exhibitions. Some visitors were very interested in the practice and invited practitioners to teach Falun Dafa in their villages, towns, and schools.
Newtown Book Fair in Kolkata
Newtown is a beautiful satellite township with hi-tech infrastructure near Kolkata. The Newtown Book Fair has been held every December for the last nine years. Falun Dafa practitioners in Kolkata have participated in the book fair for four years. They returned to the fair with a booth from December 22, 2022, to January 1, 2023.
The video played on the TV in front of the booth attracted crowds of people interested in learning more about the meditation practice. Practitioners demonstrated the exercises and also taught people the exercises.

Teaching the Falun Dafa exercises
Mr. Prodyut De was one of the practitioners at the booth. After he heard about Falun Dafa during the 2020 Book Fair, he practiced the exercises twice daily and diligently read the books Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong during the pandemic lockdown. “(Falun Dafa gave me) a ray of hope and a new lease on life,” he said.
He talked to many visitors and explained that he is no longer troubled by a skin infection and knee pain. “After four months, one day like a miracle, I discovered that I could use my hands comfortably to write and do other work. A few days later, I found to my utter delight that the allergy no longer bothered me and gradually disappeared. It was as if I got a new life. I could sit down comfortably, and quite easily do all the work that required bending the knees,” he said.
Mr. De set up two group practice sites in Newtown in the following years and Mr. Anupam Majee and Ms. Anushree Sinha joined the group practice. The three of them passed out business cards with schedules and details of how to join Falun Dafa teaching webinars online. Many book fair visitors said they would join the webinars.
26th National Book Fair at Puducherry
Falun Dafa practitioners from Southern India participated in the 26th National Book Fair of India held in Puducherry from December 16-25, 2022. They introduced Falun Dafa to thousands of visitors. The book fair is the city’s largest annual event, with 100,000 titles showcased during the entire event.

Books, posters, and some selected paintings from “The Art of Zhen Shan Ren International Exhibition” gave the Falun Dafa booth a special aura and positive energy. Several visitors stopped to talk with practitioners and said they felt something “especially unique” about this booth.
Mr. Oumar from Muscat saw practitioners doing the exercises on the beach a few days before the book fair and asked what it was. A practitioner gave him a brief introduction and invited him to the book fair. He was touched by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance and visited the booth every day to learn more. He bought Falun Dafa books and immediately started to read them. He learned the five sets of exercises at the site. Oumar told practitioners, “I can feel some energy covering me. I will practice more when I get home.”
A man came to the booth with his family. He said he was very depressed and upset about many things in life. He picked up a book and flipped through it. He asked questions about the practice and eventually purchased a book. He returned to the booth the following day. He said he felt better after he began reading Zhuan Falun and purchased a second book.
A man stood in front of the booth for more than 20 minutes. He said, “I still have to visit other stalls, but there is something so positive about this stall. It is really attracting me.”
Mrs. Jeni had a booth adjacent to the Falun Dafa booth. Jeni was surprised to see the paintings and that Falun Dafa is taught for free all over the world. She was keen to know more about the practice. A practitioner gave her a flier and she said she would read it.
A 12th grader, one of the top students in his school, said, “The persecution of Falun Dafa is horrible. I hope it ends soon.” A schoolgirl said, “I feel horrified after learning about all the persecution things happening in China. I support Falun Dafa.”
Falun Dafa Warmly Welcomed at Gramayan Expo
Practitioners from Nagpur participated in the 4th Gramayan Expo held from December 22-26 in Ram Nagar, Nagpur, India. They introduced Falun Dafa to school teachers, students, and NGOs who also participated in the exhibition. Many were very interested in learning more about Falun Dafa.

School students and NGOs also had booths at the fair. Students visited the Falun Dafa booth. They learned all five exercises and said they felt very energetic.
On the third day of the expo, these students brought their teachers to the Falun Dafa booth. The teachers were keen to learn more about Falun Dafa and invited the practitioners to introduce the practice in their schools.
The organizers of the Expo invited the practitioners to set up a booth every year at the expo. Many professors who visited the Expo invited practitioners to their colleges to teach the exercises. People asked practitioners to demonstrate and teach the Falun Dafa exercises in nearby villages. Some government officials were interested in participating in Falun Dafa webinars.
