(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the annual Homecoming Parade at the University of Minnesota on September 29, 2023. Practitioners showcased Falun Dafa and the inner peace and joy gained from the practice.
The university is located in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota. It has a student population of about 55,000 students, and 7,000 of them are international students. The Homecoming Parade is a highly attended tradition celebrated by students, alumni, faculty, staff and fans of the university. They get together to show their pride and spirit for the University of Minnesota.
There were strong wind gusts and heavy rains during the parade. The rain stopped around 2 p.m., and the parade was able to start on time at 6:30 p.m.. Tens of thousands of paraders gathered on both sides of the road. Beautiful clouds formed the backdrop of Falun Dafa practitioners’ float featuring a giant lotus flower.

Young university students happily accepted Falun Dafa bookmarks.
Practitioners dressed in traditional Chinese costumes greeted the crowd from the float. Practitioners walking to the side of the float distributed Falun Dafa bookmarks and candy. People shouted “Falun Dafa is good!” and clapped and waved to practitioners. Some also took photos or videos.
Practitioners were happy to celebrate the Homecoming Parade on Mid-Autumn Festival, and share the preciousness and beauty of Falun Dafa with the university’s faculty and staff and students’ parents.
