(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 16 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Fu Jian Arrested and Detained
2. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] The Verdicts Against Three Practitioners Upheld in the Intermediate Court
3. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. She Dian’e Persecuted
4. [Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dong Yufang and Ms. Wang Guihong Arrested
5. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Shuiqing Sentenced to Nine Months in Prison
6. [Beijing] Ms. You Yuxuan Sentenced to One and a Half Years in Prison
7. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wu Liwen Arrested and Detained
8. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Meng Xiangzhi’s Home Ransacked
9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qin Side Arrested and Detained
10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yinqiu Arrested
11. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhang Chunrong and Ms. Yang Junzhi Harassed
1. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Fu Jian Arrested and Detained
Mr. Fu Jian was arrested at his rented apartment by officers in Dongying City on November 29, 2023. Mr. Fu stayed away from his hometown, Shouguang City, for 10 years to avoid the persecution. He is currently held in the Dongying City Detention Center.
2. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] The Verdicts Against Three Practitioners Upheld in the Intermediate Court
Ms. Liu Yan, Mr. Liu Qingjiang and Ms. Liu Benling are all from the Huanxiling Oil Production Plant of the Liaohe Oilfield. They were sentenced to two years, one year and three months, and one year and six months in prison respectively by the Xinglongtai District Court on September 7, 2023. It was recently learned that their original verdicts were upheld by the Daya Intermediate Court.
3. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. She Dian’e Persecuted
Ms. She Dian’e from the Zhifu District was arrested by officers from the South Street Police Station in February 2023 and was held for 7 days in the Fushan Detention Center. After she was released, she was harassed multiple times by local police, the neighborhood committee and the Political and Legal Affairs Committee.
4. [Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Dong Yufang and Ms. Wang Guihong Arrested
Ms. Dong Yufang and Ms. Wang Guihong were recently arrested.
5. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Shuiqing Sentenced to Nine Months in Prison
Ms. Chen Shuiqing was arrested by officers from the Haitian Police Station in the Chikan District on the evening of February 23, 2023 and was sent to the Zhanjiang City Detention Center. She was tried in court on August 18, 2023 and was sentenced to nine months in prison. Ms. Chen has been released.
6. [Beijing] Ms. You Yuxuan Sentenced to One and a Half Years in Prison
Ms. You Yuxuan, 26, was followed and arrested at home by four officers on the evening of December 8, 2021. She was sent to the Chaoyang District Detention Center. She was tried in court and sentenced to one and a half years in prison and fined 4,000 yuan on April 24, 2023. Ms. You was released in June 2023.
7. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wu Liwen Arrested and Detained
Ms. Wu Liwen was arrested by officers from the Fate Police Station on December 5, 2023. The police confiscated her MP5 player. She was placed under 15-day detention.
8. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Meng Xiangzhi’s Home Ransacked
Officers, including Ju Fengjin from the Baoshan Town Police Station, went to Ms. Meng Xiangzhi’s home on December 8, 2023. Ms. Meng was not there. The police confiscated six desk calendars, a media player, a Falun Gong book and two CDs.
9. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qin Side Arrested and Detained
Ms. Qin Side, 66, from North City District, was arrested by officers from the Dengzhou Road Police Station on November 10, 2023. She was detained for 30 days and was released on December 8, 2023.
10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yinqiu Arrested
Ms. Wang Yinqiu from Qianxi County was arrested by several officers when she distributed truth-clarifying materials at the Ziyu Street Market at 8 a.m. on December 8, 2023. She was taken to the Qianxi County Detention House, but was denied admission due to high blood pressure. She returned home that evening.
11. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhang Chunrong and Ms. Yang Junzhi Harassed
Ms. Zhang Chunrong was harassed at home by two officers and a village official on November 30, 2023. They confiscated a wall poster, calendar and other personal belongings.
Ms. Yang Junzhi was also harassed at home. Her Falun Gong books and other personal belongings were confiscated.
