(Minghui.org) The SMG Network (Stop Medical Genocide--Society for the Study of Organ Transplantation in China) held a seminar in Tokyo on April 2, 2023. The seminar exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) atrocities and called on the international community to help stop the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.
Renowned Canadian human rights lawyer David Matas addressed the seminar and said, “Forced live organ harvesting of Falun Dafa practitioners is a criminal act. This is a glaring act of genocide.”
Directors of medical journalist associations, newspaper reporters, company presidents and senior consultants of small and medium sized companies attended the event.

Mr. Matas said, “Falun Dafa practitioners’ peaceful resistance of the persecution has created an impact. They have given me a lot of encouragement. The CCP’s massive system for forced live organ harvesting has been ongoing for 22 years and the numbers are unbelievable.” He called on the CCP to stop this atrocity.
Mr. Aoki, an expert in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises overseas, said, “The real China only exists when the CCP disintegrates. Falun Dafa practitioners have been persisting because of their faith and they firmly believe in the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They will definitely hold up and witness the day when the CCP collapses.”
Mr. Hibino Morio has been following the issue of “brain death and organ transplant.” He said, “Falun Dafa practitioners pose no threat. It is their freedom to hold activities and it is acceptable in civilized countries. It is absolutely unacceptable to detain and deem these innocent people to be guilty. It is also unacceptable to harvest their organs.”
Mr. and Mrs. Hashimoto said, “Falun Dafa practitioners have committed no crime. It is absolutely terrible to know that they can vanish from the face of the earth in a day. We do not understand why this group of compassionate people are being persecuted. We support Falun Dafa practitioners and we cannot allow forced live organ harvesting to happen in China. We hope that practitioners overseas do not give up. We hope they persist till the end and make a big impact in the world.”
Screening of Human Harvest Documentary
The non-profit organization “Association for Transplant Tourism” held a screening of the documentary film Human Harvest in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture on April 8, 2023. Many people including university professors came to watch the film.
The award-winning documentary exposes CCP’s harvesting of organs from living Falun Dafa practitioners imprisoned for their faith.
Screening attendee Ms. Sone stated, “We cannot tolerate genocide. We need to let more Japanese people learn of this inhumane act happening under the rule of the CCP regime. I hope the Japanese government will urge the CCP to stop their crimes which go against human morals.”
Ms. Shirota said after watching the documentary, “Practitioners’ efforts in ending the persecution is for the benefit of the whole world. I support them.”
Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years, though due to the difficulty in getting information out of China, the actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
