(Minghui.org) The 31st anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction and the 24th World Falun Dafa Day fell on May 13, 2023.
The Saint-Adrien City Council and a Gatineau City Councilor in the Province of Quebec, Canada, sent a proclamation and a letter, respectively, to congratulate Falun Dafa practitioners on Falun Dafa Day and commend the benefits that Falun Dafa brings to society. Falun Dafa practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.
Proclamation from Saint-Adrien City Council
The proclamation reads, “Practitioners of Falun Dafa follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance in their daily lives, and strive to become better people in any situation and under any conditions.
“Falun Dafa teaches the cultivation of mind and body, and since Mr. Li Hongzhi introduced it to the public in 1992, it has inspired tens of thousands of people to improve their moral standards.
“Falun Dafa transcends racial and cultural boundaries and is practiced by people of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs.
“Falun Dafa is persecuted in China, and its practitioners use peaceful means to fight for the right to freedom of conscience.
“Falun Dafa practitioners in communities across Canada celebrated May 13 World Falun Dafa Day with parades and other public events.
“For the above reasons, the San Adrian Municipal Government declared May 13 as World Falun Dafa Day to honor the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.”
Letter from Councilor Jocelyn Blondin of the City of Gatineau
Gatineau City Councilor Jocelyn Blondin sent a letter of congratulations on Falun Dafa Day. The letter said: “On the occasion of the anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa, I am very happy to celebrate this important festival and the efforts of all Falun Dafa practitioners who share a common mission.
“Falun Dafa advocates that people improve themselves through studying the Fa and gentle exercises, and achieve spiritual improvement through unremitting practice. Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are the guiding principles for all of this.”
