Falun Gong practitioners gathered at the Place des Soles des Human Rights in Paris on July 20, 2023 to expose the CCP’s 24-year brutal persecution and call on people to help stop the persecution.
At dusk, Falun Gong practitioners lit candles to mourn the practitioners who were persecuted to death by the CCP over the past 24 years.
Mr. Tang Hanlong, president of the Falun Dafa Association in France, spoke at the rally, calling on the public to recognize the vicious nature of the CCP, pay attention to the CCP’s persecution of human rights, and urge the French government to take action to resist the CCP’s atrocities against humanity.
Dr. King, Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting’s French representative
French representative of Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH), Mr. King, spoke at the rally about how the CCP persecutes Falun Gong and harvests unlawfully imprisoned practitioners’ organs while they are still alive. He said that CCP has committed crimes against humanity and genocide, and that this undermines our global society, which is a threat to humanity. “It is for everyone’s benefit that we should understand and help stop forced organ harvesting,” he said.
He said eradicating Falun Gong was the main goal of the CCP, and the most effective way to stop these crimes against humanity is to speak up for Falun Gong, help Falun Gong, and let the public know about Falun Gong.
Christina, a French member of the International Coalition to End Transplant Abuse in China (ETAC), expressed solidarity at the rally, calling on France to take action to stop the CCP’s crimes of harvesting Falun Gong practitioners’ organs while they are still alive and to not become an indirect accomplice.
Christina, a French member of the International Coalition to End Transplant Abuse in China (ETAC), spoke at the rally: “For more than 17 years, the Chinese government has been killing innocent and peaceful Falun Gong practitioners to sell their organs for huge profits.”
She pointed out that the Chinese government has established detention centers known as “death camps” where thousands of prisoners disappear every year, while the number of organ transplants and transplants in China has increased significantly, especially since 2000.
She called for an end to all cooperation with Chinese universities and hospitals in the field of surgery and transplantation, lest French doctors become indirect accomplices to crimes against humanity. The institutions that have already cooperated must immediately disassociate. U.S. lawmakers are passing a law against such cooperation, and France should do the same. She called on French parliamentarians to take action to stop these crimes.
Falun Gong practitioners gathered in the Square of Human Rights in Paris. The peaceful practice scene attracted residents and tourists to stop and watch, some took the initiative to read the truth materials, and some people signed the petition in support.
Cirlei Ioris, an English tourist, said, “It’s really important to keep people informed about what’s going on in China.”
Cirlei Ioris, an English tourist, is very passionate about Chinese teachings, qigong and about health and peace of mind. This was the first time she had heard of Falun Gong. She was surprised that in China, people practicing qigong were subject to so much repression that she had never heard of. “It’s really important to let people know what’s going on in China,” she said.
She was shocked and said, “People have been practicing qigong for thousands of years, and suddenly people can’t practice the traditional things that have always been the foundation, and it’s scary to imagine what is really going on in China. I had absolutely no idea that something like this would happen [live organ harvesting]. It is terrible.”
Cirlei believes people should strive to practice a healthy spiritual life. She said she hopes “the government there stops persecuting and lets people practice, which is a good and healthy tradition that they have maintained for many years.”
She believes that the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are the basis of human values. If everyone could follow these guidelines the world would be a more peaceful place.
She wanted to know more about Falun Gong and how to practice it.
Sarah Sajous says that organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners is unacceptable.
Sara Sajous, a ceramic art student, has been talking to Falun Gong practitioners for a long time. She said that under the dictatorship in China, many things are covered up, and the Chinese don’t know many things.
Sara said the CCP’s live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners is unacceptable. “If it had happened 200 years ago, it would have been a terrifying thing. However, today, there is such a thing, which is incomprehensible and I cannot understand. I hope that the persecution will end soon,” she said.
Nicola, an Italian tourist, thinks that the three words truthfulness, compassion and forbearance are very good.
Nicola, a tourist from Italy, said, “I have lived in China, and I know that this group [Falun Gong] is persecuted in China. I think this persecution is very bad in China and around the world. It is good to live in a free world. So we support freedom.”
Nicola believes that the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are very good. “Especially the word ‘forbearance,’ because people need patience when doing everything, and need to cultivate more patience. Because there is more or less anger in everyone, but patience and tolerance also exist in our hearts. Therefore, we need to cultivate patience,” he said.
Ibrahim, a physics teacher, was happy to sign the petition and wanted to encourage more people to do the same, so the persecution would stop as soon as possible.
Arrouche Youssou, an Amazon employee in France, hopes that people living in China will enjoy freedom of belief, just like the French.
