(Minghui.org) The recent Minghui editorial “Notice” exposes the problem of some practitioners blindly admiring others.
Yu Chao, the person mentioned in the notice, has attracted many practitioners in particular by promoting himself as a hero who survived the persecution. He has misled many practitioners and caused damage to Dafa’s reputation.
Master has repeatedly told us that we have no example to follow in our cultivation. But why do some practitioners still have the notion of “admiring heroes?” I believe it’s a result of measuring things with their human attachments instead of with the Fa. It has become natural for them to allow their attachments to control them, making them easily fall for the bait of the demons. Doing that not only hinders us from making progress on our cultivation path, but also creates obstacles for saving people. After all, demons will take advantage of whatever attachments that grow out of control.
In the ending time, the level of degeneration and reversal of right and wrong has reached an unprecedented level. When some practitioners are brought down by the Chinese Communist Party’s secret agents due to their human attachments, I wonder if they truly understand what it means to cultivate one’s heart and I wonder where their wisdom and rationality that they should have from Dafa cultivation are.
When we write articles or clarify the facts to people, if we can help them see the magnificence and wonderfulness of Dafa, then we have truly done a good job. But if the article makes people think that the person portrayed in the article is great and heroic, then there are serious issues. If a practitioner admires and follows that person, it may indicate that the practitioner has already stumbled in cultivation.
Some people may admire Yu Chao because he graduated from Tsinghua University, one of the top universities in China. But that’s another problem. Under the rule of the Chinese Communist Party, many prestigious universities face prevalent corruption and are filled with communist ideologies. Those who graduated from Tsinghua University aren’t necessarily of noble character, such as many Party leaders. For us who try to awaken people’s souls, our goal is to change people’s hearts. We have to be clear about things ourselves and shouldn’t automatically take being famous as being good.
Above is my current understanding. Although it may not be completely correct, I did want to share my understanding with fellow practitioners.
