(Minghui.org) The Gateway Dragon Boat Festival was held at Creve Coeur Lake in St. Louis, Missouri on August 19, 2023. Many different vendors and groups participated in the festival. Falun Dafa practitioners also participated, and introduced Falun Dafa to people and told them about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) ongoing persecution of this traditional mind-body cultivation practice.

Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises during the event. Many people said they were drawn to the tranquil atmosphere and stopped to talk to practitioners and learn about Falun Dafa. Some also asked where they could learn the exercises. Practitioners told passersby about different practice sites around St. Louis and that learning and practicing Falun Dafa is always free of charge. Many people took fliers or said they would come to the weekend practice sites.

Courtney and Scott said they were attracted to Falun Dafa after seeing how focused and peaceful practitioners looked while they did the exercises. They learned to practice the first standing exercises and said they would go to the practice site on the weekend. They said that not only can Falun Dafa benefit one’s body and mind, the practice can also upgrade their moral standards and help them face the challenges of life with a healthy and calm attitude.
