(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 15 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Zhu Shuzhen, Ms. Ms. Xiaoyu, and Ms. Wang Heyun were reported to police while they were explaining the facts about Falun Gong to people at the Wanghai Village Market on the morning of July 6, 2023, and were subsequently arrested by officers from the Xiakou Township Police Station. Their homes were ransacked by officers from their local police stations at noon that day. The three practitioners were taken to the Fucheng County Detention Center that evening. When their families went to the police stations and detention centers to bring them clothing and other necessities and demand they be released, they were told that the cases were being investigated, evidence was collected, and court proceedings had already been initiated.
Ms. Zhao Jinmin was arrested on July 8, 2023. Her residence and warehouse were ransacked and left in shambles. Agents went to her residence and video recorded it. It’s not yet known what was confiscated. Ms. Zhao remains in custody and is on a hunger strike.
An officer from the Simalu Police Station called Ms. Ning Zhonghua and harassed her on July 11, 2023. The officer told Ms. Ning that now is the time to close the three-year-old case against her, and that they had been delaying processing it because her child suffers from schizophrenia and her parents are old and in poor health. Ms. Ning refused to cooperate. Officers from the Simalu Police Station kept calling her.
Officers have harassed Ms. Zhang Dexiu and Ms. Liu Ping many times since 2021, stopping by their homes and calling them. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Liu have been closely monitored. They noticed that they were frequently followed by unidentified agents and plainclothes officers.
In 2021, Ms. Zhang was arrested, interrogated, her home was ransacked, and she was subsequently bailed out pending trial. Ms. Liu was arrested, her home was ransacked, and she was held for 15 days.
Ms. Lu Xiaowei’s father and older brother were arrested on July 12, 2023, and their homes were ransacked. Her father was released. Her older brother was taken away by officers from Baicheng City, and his whereabouts are unknown.
Ms. Huang Hezhi and Ms. Han Cuiqin were arrested by officers from the Nanjie Police Station on June 4, 2023. They were detained and their homes were ransacked. Ms. Huang was held for ten days and then released. Ms. Han was also recently released.
Mr. Ma Guoxing was arrested for circumventing the CCP’s Internet firewall and visiting overseas websites using his phone. He is being held in the Lingyuan Detention Center.
Ms. Zhou Chunling was arrested by two plainclothes officers when he was on Dandong Street on July 12, 2023.
Mr. Yang Xingli was arrested on May 25, 2023 and held for ten days. After he was released, he was arrested again in front of the Jilin City Government by officers from the Zhanqian Police Station. He is now being held in the Jilin Detention Center.
Mr. Yang, who is from Shulan City, moved to Yushu City for work and lived there for many years. He was arrested, and held in forced labor camps and mental hospitals many times because of his faith in Falun Gong. He was cruelly tortured with an electric brush. He went on a hunger strike. He was dismissed from his job and lived in poverty. He was severely traumatized after being tortured, and suffered a mental collapse.
Three officers from the Gongnong Village Police Station went to Ms. Lin Dingyu’s home around July 2, 2023. Ms. Lin was not there. They talked to her landlord. Afterwards the landlord pressured Ms. Lin to move out.
Mr. Zhang Daquan was arrested at his workplace on July 7, 2023.
Ms. Pan Yanjun was scheduled to be tried in the 7th Tribunal of Dehui Court at 9:10 a.m. on July 13, 2023. Ms. Xu Shuyun was to be tried on the same day.
