(Minghui.org) Practitioners held an information day on Marktstrasse in Landau in the Palatinate, Germany, on September 9, 2023. They introduced Falun Dafa and condemned the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.

Landau is a municipality in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and is home to the University of Koblenz-Landau. It is a famous university town and is considered a gem on the German Wine Route. Many historic buildings and museums are located there.
People sign the petition calling to end the persecution.
This was the first time some people had heard of Falun Dafa, and they spoke with practitioners for a long time. Many people agreed with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance advocated by Falun Dafa and signed the petition to end the persecution. Some wanted to learn the exercises.
People Should Follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance
Beate agrees with the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Beate, a development consultant from Baden-Württemberg, signed the petition to support the practitioners in their effort to expose the persecution. She said she’d traveled throughout Asia and was interested in Buddhist culture, but she’d never heard of Falun Dafa.
Beate said, “I am against the CCP persecuting Falun Dafa. People have the right to decide what to do and what to believe. Organ donation is voluntary and should not be forced.”
Her husband said, “We human beings need to help each other. If not, it might be your turn next.”
Talking about the principles of Falun Dafa, Beate said, “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, we have lost these. This digital age has destroyed these beautiful values. Humanity should return to the basics.”
The couple asked a practitioner many questions about Falun Dafa. Her husband said that Falun Dafa could improve people spiritually and that he wanted to learn more about it. They left their contact information.
Felix Pettersson, a Swede currently living in Germany, said, “I am a Buddhist and believe in the inspiration of the soul. I understand that I am here to sign the petition. This is really fate.”
Pettersson emphatically agreed with the principles of Falun Dafa and said, “I will try hard to follow these principles. To be truthful, one must be honest and tell the truth 100%. To be kind, one must be kind to others from the heart, without any conditions. Tolerance--this is not easy. I understand that it’s important to treat people with care and compassion.”
Signing the Petition to Condemn the Persecution
Silke signed the petition.
Silke, who had just signed the petition, returned to the venue with her daughter and grandson. She told practitioners, “We live in Baden-Württemberg and are here on vacation. There are so many things happening in this world that this [the persecution of Falun Dafa] does not surprise me at all.”
She said, “In Germany, people can freely express their thoughts and do what they want. We have become accustomed to this way of life. In China, it is a completely different situation, which is difficult for ordinary people to imagine. Although China is far away from us, I have to do what I am supposed to do and not just sit back and watch.”
She returned with her daughter and said, “I just told my daughter about this and asked her to sign the petition.”
