(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Beijing] Ms. Li Ruiling Faces Indictment

1. [Beijing] Ms. Li Ruiling Faces Indictment
Ms. Li Ruiling, a resident of the Chaoyang District, was arrested in her apartment in the Shunyi District by officers from the Shunyi Niulanshan Police Station on the morning of October 3, 2023. Her case was sent to the Shunyi District Procuratorate. Police recently searched her home in the Chaoyang District because they had no evidence. She is being held in the Shunyi Detention Center.
2. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Face Trial
Ms. Zhu Shuzhen, Ms. Han Fuyu, and Ms. Wang Heyun are from Fucheng County. When they talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Wanghai Village Market on the morning of July 5, 2023, they were arrested and beaten by Xiakou Township Police Station director Wu Mingchun. Their homes were ransacked by police from the local station at noon. They were sent to the Fucheng County Detention Center that evening and were transferred to the Hengshui City Detention Center on July 20, 2023.
The Fucheng County Police Department submitted the case to the Fucheng County Procuratorate on October 23, 2023. The procuratorate sent it to the Hengshui City Procuratorate. The case was moved to the Jing County Procuratorate on November 30, 2023. The latter filed charges to the Jing County Court.
3. [Tai’an City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shang Yuzhen Detained
Ms. Shang Yuzhen, 65, is a retiree and lives in Tai’an City. She was arrested on the morning of January 8, 2024, when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Daiyue District’s Zhuyang Town Market. She was taken to the Zhuyang Police Station and then sent to the Tai’an City Detention Center.
4. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xie Chunmei and Ms. Liu Zhiyang Arrested
Ms. Xie Chunmei, 60, and Ms. Liu Zhiyang, 60, were arrested by three officers from the Xihu District Domestic Security Division around 9:00 a.m. on January 17, 2024. Someone photographed them when they talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong and reported them. They were taken to the Xihu District Police Department.
They were interrogated and their bags were searched. Ms. Xie was released around 8:00 p.m. Ms. Liu was released around 10:00 p.m.
5. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Mr. Teng Shijun Harassed
Mr. Teng Shijun returned home from work at noon. His mother told him the community office called. The caller ordered him to sign a guarantee statement that he would not practice Falun Gong and they would come to his home the following week.
